Three new features that stand out are: The world map. On the left hand side of the home page, click on the pull-down menu and choose a country. For any country a visitor selects, s/he will be taken to a page that connects to all relevant USIP material – an overview, a list of the experts in that country, programs, resources and tools, and events.Visitors can also zoom in on the map and click any country on the graphic to find content about that country. Issue areas. Also on the left hand side of the home page as well as at the top of every page on the site, visitors will see examples of issues on which USIP works, with a link to the full list. As with countries, visitors will land on a page that connects to an overview, names of experts, programs, resources and tools, events and features from the field. We hope that these topic pages will help you find the information you are seeking faster and in a more cohesive experience. RSS Feeds. Using our syndicated feeds you can choose which topics, countries or products you want to receive real-time updates for delivered to your online news reader. If you are unfamiliar with RSS we have a quick overview guide for you to review. Tara Sonenshine, executive vice president of USIP, said, “As USIP prepares to move into a new permanent headquarters building and open a Public Education Center on the National Mall, it is more important than ever for us to be able to describe our work in ways that a variety of audiences can use. USIP’s new Web site will allow visitors to access information geographically or topically.” In tandem with the new Web site, our new contacts database will allow you to update your current contact information as well as your subscriptions for our e-mail products to ensure you receive information on only the topics or countries you. Our goal is to provide you the easy access to our materials to make sure you are receiving updates in the manner you would like.
