Kraemer Antiquaire

Paris from 15 to 22 September 2010 43 rue Monceau at the XXVème Biennale des Antiquaires Authenticity, beauty, rarity, and originality: such are the key words that have guided the Kraemers’ decisions since 1875. Not only is it the oldest Parisian gallery specializing in high-end art objects from the 17th and 18th centuries, it is also the most renowned. Situated in a town house at 43 rue de Monceau, Paris 8th, it continues to attract the attention of private collectors and great international museums. For six generations, Kraemer Antiquaire has been developing a tradition of discretion while regularly welcoming art lovers and great interior decorators to its gallery. By participating in the 25th Biennale des Antiquaires, the Kraemer family will be meeting with those who share the same passion for furniture and art objects that adorn both classical and contemporary interiors, both in France and throughout the world.Such is the case of this surprising chandelier with a star-spangled blue painted metal sphere ornamented with chased giltbronzes, bearing eight lights, circa 1800. A very similar model made by bronzier Claude Galle can be found at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. Or, for example, this marquetry regulator clock, ornamented with chased and gilded bronze mounts, which will reign majestically over Kraemer Antiquaire’s stand No. 1. (antiquaires)
