The Forum on Emerging Topics in Patient Safety (http://armstronginstitute.cvent.com/safetyforum), to be held 23-25 September in Baltimore, USA, aims to generate recommendations for rapidly accelerating the pace of improvement in reducing preventable
The Forum features thought leaders in the field of health care, including leaders of the WHO Patient Safety Programme, who will make this a unique opportunity to share, network and contribute to future safety and quality solutions. WHO maintains a Patient Safety Project Office within the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality at Johns Hopkins. This Project Office supports the broad mandate of the WHO Patient Safety Programme by providing leadership and assistance in the science of safety, behaviour change and patient safety evaluation. It is our hope that this new forum will deepen our collective knowledge of what is needed to reduce preventable harm on a broad scale.
