New directive on combating terrorism – rapporteur Monika Hohlmeier (EPP, DE). Adoption of draft report and on the opening of interinstitutional negotiations. Press conference with the rapporteur on Tuesday 5 July at 9.30.
Thursday (10.30-11.20)Establishing an EU common list of safe countries of origin for the purposes of common procedures for granting and withdrawing international protection – rapporteur Sylvie Guillaume (S&D, FR). Adoption of draft report and on the opening of interinstitutional negotiations.
Review of the visa suspension mechanism – List of third countries whose nationals must be in possession of visas when crossing the external borders and those that are exempted. Rapporteur Agustín Díaz De Mera (EPP, ES). Adoption of draft report.
Directive on legal aid for suspects or accused persons deprived of liberty and in European arrest warrant proceedings – rapporteur Dennis de Jong (GUE, NL). Vote on the text informally agreed with the Council.
