Protestant Forum for young theology in Europe

It will take place in Wroclaw, Poland, 4-8 April 2018. The Community of Protestant Churches in Europe is organising a forum for young Protestant theologians “Being Protestant in Europe.” Young theologians up to the age of 35 are invited to apply. The gathering will be an excellent opportunity for networking and exchange on contemporary theological issues.
The World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC) has begun an intensive search to find its next executive secretaries for Justice and Witness and Communion and Theology. Executive secretaries are appointed by the WCRC Executive Committee to serve a term of five years and are eligible for one renewal for an additional five-year term. It is anticipated that duties for both will begin on 1 January 2018. Both positions will be based in the WCRC office in Hannover, Germany. The Special Representative of the Secretary General on Migration and Refugees (SRSG) of the Council of Europe, Tomáš Boček has published a Thematic Report on migrant and refugee children. The report calls for urgent measures to find alternatives to detention of children and guarantee minimum living conditions in camps, As part of the Lenten campaign “Seven Weeks for Water”, the World Council of Churches (WCC) Ecumenical Water Network (EWN) is promoting its second annual photo contest on Instagram encouraging people to share images of water in their daily lives. The EWN photo contest will be from 10 – 18 April and is open to all people who use Instagram.
