Econolite Appoints Douglas Wiersig Vice President

Econolite today announced it has appointed Douglas Wiersig to Vice President. In this new position, Wiersig will focus on business development and program advisory activities, primarily in the State of Texas, as part of the Company’s expansion strategy. Wiersig brings over 30 years of transportation and infrastructure engineering and management to Econolite. “We are delighted to welcome Doug to the leadership team,” said Abbas Mohaddes, Econolite’s President and COO. “The addition of Doug comes at a pivotal time for Econolite as we focus on expanding and growing our business. Doug’s extensive and proven industry experience is well matched by his public agency service and understanding of the user community.”Wiersig recently served as the Director of Transportation & Public Works for the City of Fort Worth, Texas for eight years and has held executive positions managing the transportation and infrastructure programs in both private and public organizations in Texas, as well as serving as Director for the Cobb County (Georgia) Department of Transportation.
