David Diop: Fratelli d’anima

Posted by fidest press agency su giovedì, 14 marzo 2019

Prima guerra mondiale.
Neri Pozza Editore.

Irvin D. Yalom: Psicoterapia esistenziale

Posted by fidest press agency su giovedì, 14 marzo 2019

Posted by fidest press agency su giovedì, 14 marzo 2019

Posted by fidest press agency su giovedì, 14 marzo 2019

Posted by fidest press agency su giovedì, 14 marzo 2019

Posted by fidest press agency su giovedì, 14 marzo 2019

«Sono all’ospedale».
Sayed Kashua è uno scrittore e giornalista israeliano. Traduzione di Elena Loewenthal Euro 16,50 208 pagine Neri Pozza editore.

AM Best Revises Outlooks to Positive for Memorial Hermann Health Plan

Posted by fidest press agency su giovedì, 14 marzo 2019

AM Best has revised the outlooks to positive from stable and affirmed the Financial Strength Rating of B+ (Good) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “bbb-”of Memorial Hermann Health Plan, Inc. and Memorial Hermann Health Insurance Company. Collectively, the group is herein referred to as Memorial Hermann Insurance Operations. All companies are domiciled in Houston, TX.The ratings reflect Memorial Hermann Insurance Operations’ balance sheet strength, which AM Best categorizes as adequate, as well as its weak operating performance, limited business profile, and appropriate enterprise risk management. The ratings also reflect Memorial Hermann Insurance Operations’ strategic role as the managed care subsidiary of Memorial Hermann Health System (Memorial Hermann), a fully integrated health care delivery system, as well as Memorial Hermann’s established network and overall creditworthiness, which enhances each entity’s assessment. Furthermore, the parent organization has historically demonstrated explicit financial support in the form of capital contributions to Memorial Hermann Insurance Operations. After reporting significant underwriting losses in recent years, Memorial Hermann Insurance Operations became profitable in 2018 due to several implemented performance improvement initiatives, including an exit from the individual exchange market, a shift of membership mix toward HMO products, and improved operations and medical management. These earnings were accretive to growth in absolute capital and surplus and, combined with reduced premium, strengthened projected risk-adjusted capitalization. The positive outlooks reflect this enhanced projected risk-adjusted capitalization, as well as continuing financial and operational support from its parent company.Memorial Hermann Insurance Operations continues to be challenged by a limited business profile largely reflecting its modest market share, geographically concentrated operations within the Houston, TX metro area, as well as highly competitive major medical and Medicare Advantage markets, which include larger national and regional health carriers.

AIA Unveils its Vision of Aerospace in 2050

Posted by fidest press agency su giovedì, 14 marzo 2019

The Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) is laying out its vision for the future — one that includes morning commutes via flying air taxi, supersonic business travel between continents, and an emerging market for space-based research and manufacturing in 2050 — in a new study launched with an interactive experience at South by Southwest (SXSW). To mark its Centennial year, AIA, in partnership with McKinsey & Company, worked with industry leaders and experts to develop “What’s Next for Aerospace and Defense: A Vision for 2050.” The result is a comprehensive look at the future of the aerospace industry and the innovations that will shape the world over the next thirty years.Built on interviews with over 70 industry leaders, Vision 2050 finds that the aerospace and defense industry will continue to be the driving force behind the way the world moves, connects, explores and inspires. These experts see a world shaped by the ease and convenience of urban air mobility and widely available autonomous drone delivery, the speed of supersonic air travel, and the promise of emerging markets for resource extraction and manufacturing in space – all underpinned by artificial intelligence and more rigorous, self-evolving, and proactive cybersecurity defenses. An optimistic vision for the future, Vision 2050 begins the process of identifying the steps American leaders needs to take to reach the promise this vision holds. Realizing these interrelated and mutually reinforcing technological innovations will require stakeholders across government and industry to begin investing today in the new capabilities and partnerships needed to build this bright future.
To get a glimpse into this technology-driven future, view AIA’s interactive augmented reality mural, watch a brief video inspired by Vision 2050, and read the report, please visit AIA’s website here: https://www.aia-aerospace.org/vision-2050/.
