Posted by fidest press agency su venerdì, 24 Mag 2019

The University of New Haven announced today that it has been designated by the National Security Agency (NSA) as a National Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cyber Operations (CAE-CO). The certification recognizes the University’s bachelor’s degree programs in cyber security & networks and computer science. The University of New Haven joined Carnegie Mellon and Old Dominion this year in being named a CAE-CO. The University is the second school in New England to earn this designation, joining Northeastern University. There are currently 21 schools in the United States that feature Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations supported by the NSA.The NSA’s CAE-CO program supports the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education and furthers the goal to broaden the pool of skilled workers capable of supporting a cyber-secure nation. The CAE-CO program supports deeply technical and interdisciplinary offerings at the higher education level in computer science, computer engineering, and/or electrical engineering that feature extensive opportunities for hands-on applications via labs and exercises.
In reviewing the University’s academic programs, cybersecurity outreach, faculty accomplishments, grant activities, and research output, the NSA recognized the University’s ability to effectively prepare students in areas such as wireless security, systems programming, and digital forensics. The University’s Cyber Forensics Research and Education Group, which includes undergraduate and graduate students studying cybersecurity and computer science, has received international attention for, among other discoveries, uncovering vulnerabilities that were addressed in the messaging application WhatsApp and identifying vulnerabilities in a popular virtual reality application.
The University’s programs in cybersecurity and computer science are preparing graduates for careers in a field in which there has been significant growth. Cybersecurity Ventures predicts there will be 3.5 million unfilled cybersecurity positions by 2021, up from one million in 2014. The cybersecurity unemployment rate dropped to zero percent in 2016, and has remained there ever since.

KBRA Releases Research – KBRA Zooms in on Canadian Energy

Posted by fidest press agency su venerdì, 24 Mag 2019

Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) releases a new report focusing on Canadian Energy. As KBRA expands our energy sector coverage, we would be remiss if we overlooked what is taking place in Canada. In the KBRA Zooms in on Canadian Energy report, we highlight our credit views on a sample portfolio of 60 Canadian energy producers and discusses policy decisions by the sovereign and sub-sovereign governments that have an impact on the sector. The report also provides an overview of the dynamics underway in Canada’s oil sector in regard to pricing, supply, and exports. On balance, KBRA leans toward being constructive on the sector over the long term as infrastructure shortfalls are more likely to be addressed. Our view on the sector considers the improving performance of the model portfolio of Canadian energy corporates over the last two years as well as the policy environment, which may turn out to be the fulcrum that rebalances Canada’s energy story toward a more positive direction. This commentary builds on KBRA’s emphasis on bringing together viewpoints and expertise from across the company, in this case Sovereigns and Corporates, in order to maximize analytical depth.
KBRA is a full-service credit rating agency registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an NRSRO. In addition, KBRA is designated as a designated rating organization by the Ontario Securities Commission for issuers of asset-backed securities to file a short form prospectus or shelf prospectus. KBRA is also recognized by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners as a Credit Rating Provider and is a certified Credit Rating Agency (CRA) by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). Kroll Bond Rating Agency Europe Limited is registered with ESMA as a CRA.

Posted by fidest press agency su venerdì, 24 Mag 2019

The world was in its fifth year of war, when on June 6, 1944, western Allied forces crossed the English Channel and stormed the German defenses across the heavily fortified beaches of Normandy, France. Invading by land, sea and air, the broad attack was code named Operation Overlord, but the world knows it as D-Day, and it is said to be the beginning of the end of World War II. Ranking as the greatest amphibious landing in military history, the invasion allowed the Allies to advance into France. Globality and HSBC Enter Into Agreement to Realize the Financial Services Leader’s Vision for AI-Driven Self-Serve Procurement

Posted by fidest press agency su venerdì, 24 Mag 2019

Globality, Inc. announced today that it has entered into an agreement with HSBC, one of the world’s leading banking and financial services companies, in which HSBC is adopting Globality’s innovative AI-based Platform for sourcing and procurement of services.
HSBC is at the forefront of revolutionizing sourcing by enabling its business stakeholders to do self-serve procurement utilizing Globality’s artificial intelligence, real-time collaboration and intuitive user experience. With Globality’s AI-based Platform, HSBC users will be able to scope projects in hours rather than days, and intelligently match their unique requirements to the best suppliers around the world.
Finding the best service provider at the right price for every project is impossible to achieve with legacy systems that are mostly analog and are not continuously learning, capturing knowledge, or digitally sharing results and feedback. As a result, companies do not get maximum value from third-party suppliers. Nor do they get the unprecedented access to a worldwide network of highly qualified, carefully vetted firms that are members of Globality’s Service Provider Network.“We are very grateful for the opportunity to work with HSBC’s procurement team to advance their vision of a fully automated procurement process that enables their internal stakeholders to source higher quality, lower cost services. HSBC is a leader in creating a vision for the future of procurement, understanding that the legacy systems of paper-intensive RFPs and sole source negotiations do not result in strategic value. Utilizing AI technology and Globality’s “smart sourcing” process will ensure that all HSBC service providers, large or small, win projects in a transparent digital ecosystem where decisions are based solely on the merits of quality, results, costs, and performance,” said Globality Co-founder, Chairman, and CEO Joel Hyatt.Globality’s Platform provides companies with a highly secure and digital way to fully scope projects, engage qualified suppliers, assure pricing and quality competition, effectively evaluate proposals, and make informed sourcing decisions. In addition, using Globality’s Platform significantly accelerates the entire procurement process, enabling far faster speed to market.
