BlueInvest Day, the meeting point for blue economy entrepreneurs, innovators and investors

Organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE), BlueInvest Day 2023 brings together founders, investors and stakeholders to discuss the scaling of financing for a sustainable blue economy.It will present funding opportunities through reverse pitches from active funds and facilitate impact-driven investor-to-project matching. It will also host the fourth BlueInvest Awards: 16 top blue businesses will pitch it out on stage and a panel of investors will give their verdict across 5 categories: Net Zero, Circular Economy and Preventing Ocean Pollution, Responsible Food Systems & Ocean Observation, plus the People’s Choice category, where the audience picks a winner. The event will feature Virginijus SINKEVIČIUS, European Commissioner for Environment, Oceans & Fisheries, Roger HAVENITH, Deputy CEO of the European Investment Fund, and Pierre KARLESKIND, Member of the European Parliament and Chairman of the Committee on Fisheries. It will include keynote addresses and an expert panel session focusing on the financing for sustainable technologies in the blue economy.
