Arrive Accelerates Deployment of Seamless Parking Solutions Across North America

Posted by fidest press agency su venerdì, 25 ottobre 2019

Arrive is accelerating the deployment of its seamless parking solutions across North America, moving from city-based tests to wide-scale implementation of its frictionless technologies. By the end of 2020, Arrive aims to have installed Bluetooth and other technologies in tens of thousands of garages and lots across the U.S. and Canada. Drivers who purchase parking through the company’s ParkWhiz and BestParking apps, or one of Arrive’s partners like Ticketmaster, Amazon Alexa, or Honda will be able to seamlessly enter and exit garages and lots without making a reservation or pulling a ticket at the gate. “The way people get from place to place is changing as fast as new technology is developed. It can be difficult for businesses to keep up and a financial burden for parking operators and asset owners to continue investing in expensive technology,” said Yona Shtern, CEO of Arrive. “We have developed a range of low-cost and easy-to-install solutions, and are committed to working with operators and PARCS companies to enhance their existing infrastructure, making it possible for them to enable new technology faster and creating a better, more connected experience for drivers.” To help the company accelerate its expansion, Arrive has entered into a strategic partnership with Inugo, a New Zealand-based company, to provide Arrive with Bluetooth connectivity kits that the company has integrated into existing PARCS systems.
“We’ve spent many years building a platform that allows parking operators to have a robust, cost-effective solution for enabling digital access to their gates for a range of use cases. By partnering with Arrive, we will be able to expand our footprint in North America and collaborate with them to enable seamless access for millions of drivers across the country,” said Ben Martel, CEO of Inugo.Inugo is the latest hardware solution provider to join Arrive in its pursuit of seamless parking solutions, joining previously announced hardware partners Flash Parking, Parkonect, TIBA, Skidata and DataPark. In addition to more hardware partnerships, Arrive is also announcing nationwide operator partnerships with InterPark and Propark Mobility to help advance frictionless parking and other mobility services.“Arrive’s unique approach to the marketplace, focusing on connecting parking operators to the millions of customers who will use new technologies in connected cars and fleets, helps Propark enhance our business today, and ensures we are adaptable to the changing landscape of mobility,” said John Schmid, CEO of Propark Mobility. InterPark COO James Mueller said, “Arrive’s flexible and collaborative partnership nicely supports our own investments in improving the customer experience without requiring additional costs.” Arrive and Inugo will demo the new Bluetooth connectivity kit in the Arrive booth at the 2019 National Parking Association Annual Convention and Expo.

Posted by fidest press agency su martedì, 29 agosto 2017

saudi arabiaSaudi Arabia2EDDAH, Saudi Arabia /PRNewswire/Saudi Arabia has to date welcomed 1.497 million pilgrims who have flocked to the country in preparation for the annual Islamic Hajj pilgrimage, which is due to begin on August 30, 2017. In total, around two million people from across the globe are expected to visit the Holy City of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, making it the largest annual international gathering, and which, for many Muslims, is the highlight of their spiritual lives. As one of the five pillars of Islam, the annual pilgrimage to Makkah, is mandatory for physically and financially capable Muslims to perform at least once in their lives. The rituals involved are intended to cleanse the soul and demonstrate the equality and solidarity of all Muslims, in their submission to God.The responsibility for organizing the pilgrimage falls on the government of Saudi Arabia, under direct supervision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman; a huge logistical undertaking that will run until Hajj ends on the 4th of September, 2017.
The number of foreign pilgrims has multiplied exponentially over the years, from as few as 24,000 in 1941 to 1.325 million in 2016. Including local pilgrims that reside in Saudi Arabia, a total of 1.86 million Muslims performed the Hajj last year.
Saudi officials have prepared to receive the massive influx of pilgrims, many of whom also visit the second Holy City of Madinah. The Hajj team deployed on the ground speaks over a dozen languages to ensure that the needs of pilgrims are met.
Saudi Arabia1Mina is also known as the City of Tents as it hosts tens of thousands of air-conditioned tents as temporary accommodation for a significant portion of the pilgrims expected to take part in Hajj this year. Mina is located between Mount Arafat and Makkah’s Grand Mosque. The tents are neatly arranged in rows and grouped into areas labeled with numbers and colors according to nationality. Every pilgrim is given a badge with an assigned number and color to help them find the way back to their tent if they get lost. To prevent fires, the tents are constructed of Teflon-coated fiberglass, and are fitted with sprinklers and fire extinguishers.
More than 17,000 highly trained personnel, supported by 3,000 advanced vehicles, are in position to guarantee pilgrims the highest level of safety.300 ground ambulances, 30 motorbikes, 113 ambulance centers and 8 air ambulances. Over 2,000 Saudi Red Crescent Authority personnel deployed in Makkah, Madinah and other holy sites to provide ambulance services to pilgrims during Hajj. (photos: Saudi Arabia)

New York, Twelve young leaders from the Middle East are arriving in New York City on Saturday, in the context of the tenth anniversary of 9/11, hoping to create new alliances, gain knowledge, and understanding of the US and Europe. Given the importance of the day, their visit is especially timely, as the world seeks to find ways to forge lasting peace amongst nations, cultures and societies. In a context of commemorations, the UNAOC, which works together with its partners to promote understanding among peoples and cultures, is taking concrete action to bring emerging leaders together to build trust and understanding. The fellows will be part of a two-week program organized under the auspices of the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) with the funding support of the British Council and in partnership with the League of Arab States, ISESCO, the Institute of International Education and the Qatar Committee for the Alliance of Civilizations. The Fellowship Programme is the first and only young professional’s exchange program between the Arab world, Europe, and the US and through monetary and in-kind support from Arab, European, and North American sources. As a young professionals’ exchange initiative, the Fellowship Program is singular in this regard. The trip will include stops in Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Paris, Brussels and London. In the US and Europe, the fellows will meet with a wide-variety of groups and individuals, including local community leaders, NGOs, journalists, policy makers and prominent US institutions.
The goal of the fellowship is to enhance mutual knowledge and understanding between peoples and societies from Muslim-majority countries, mainly from the Arab World, and from Europe and North America and creates an opportunity for emerging leaders from these societies to get acquainted with the diverse realities and cultural, political and religious environments of the others. As part of the fellowship, later in the fall, twelve fellows from the US and Europe will travel to North Africa and the Middle East : Morocco, Egypt and Qatar on a similar tour, meeting with government, civil society and other groups involved in this issue.
