Christie’s in Association with Whyte’s of Dublin

Posted by fidest press agency su giovedì, 17 ottobre 2019

London – Christie’s, in association with Whyte’s Auction House in Dublin, will offer works from The Ernie O’Malley Collection, highlighted by five paintings by Jack Butler Yeats. Comprised of 100 lots, including early sketches by Yeats and work by the artists Mainie Jellett, Evie Hone, Louis le Brocquy, Colin Middleton and Norah McGuinness, the auction will form an anthology of Irish art from the early 1900s to the 1950s. Ernie O’Malley was an experienced officer in Ireland from 1916-22 who went on to publish two books detailing his experiences. The sale and international exhibitions provide an opportunity to discover his private passion for art and the relationships he developed with artists he encountered in America and Ireland. Highlights will be on view in New York from 23 to 27 October 2019, and London from 16 to 18 November. The full pre-sale exhibition can be viewed at the Royal Dublin Society from 23 to 25 November 2019, with the auction held in the same location at 6pm on 25 November 2019.Ernie O’Malley met Jack B. Yeats in Dublin at the home of the art enthusiast and historian Constantine Curran in 1937 where the two became friends, meeting and corresponding regularly. The Enfolding Night (1947, estimate: €500,000-700,000 / £440,000-615,000 approximately) depicts three figures walking through a barren landscape towards an intense light while a fourth figure is seated in the foreground. The painting is one of several existential subjects that Yeats painted in the late 1940s, as he approached his 80th birthday. The composition is theatrical, heightened by dramatic contrasts of light and shade.

Nasce Italian Private Capital Association (IPCA)

Posted by fidest press agency su martedì, 8 ottobre 2019

Governor Kemp Signs Historic SB 157 at Community Bankers Association of Georgia Headquarters

Posted by fidest press agency su domenica, 5 maggio 2019

Governor Brian P. Kemp signed SB 157 into law at the Community Bankers Association of Georgia (CBA) headquarters today before a group of community bankers from across the state.
SB 157 allows community banks, many of which are located in rural Georgia, to accept local government’s funds and allows these banks in turn to reinvest and loan monies back into their own communities and spur economic activity. Increased lending will spur business growth, jobs, and boost statewide economic activity. SB 157 was unanimously passed by the legislature during the 2019 legislative session.CBA’s President and Chief Executive Officer John McNair stated, “We greatly appreciate Senator John Kennedy (R), Macon and Representative Dale Washburn (R), Macon, for guiding the bill through this legislative process. We are also thankful for our partnerships with National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA), and the Association of County Commissioners (ACCG) in making this bill a possibility. SB 157 will change people’s lives, and all of us at CBA are proud, honored and humbled to have had the opportunity to impact Georgia’s community banking industry in this most positive manner!” Community banks are the primary providers of credit and banking services throughout the state and play a vital role in helping the Kemp administration fulfill its objective of further developing and growing small businesses in Georgia. This bill will allow community banks to compete with large, mostly out-of-state banks, for local municipal accounts and deposits. Georgia’s community banks will be able to dramatically increase lending in their local markets thereby helping small businesses start and grow, funding homeownership as well as a variety of agriculture and consumer loans.Governor Brian P. Kemp stated, “By supporting small businesses and local entrepreneurs, this legislation is another positive step toward a new day in rural Georgia. I thank the General Assembly and the Community Bankers Association for their hard work on this important issue and their efforts to bring greater prosperity to all corners of our state.”
“I am pleased and honored to have sponsored this legislation,” remarked Senator John F. Kennedy, (R), Macon. “This is a ‘win-win’ for all of Georgia, but especially rural Georgia, the local governments of Georgia and our banking community who serve our businesses and help so much with much needed economic development.”The ceremony began with remarks by CBA Chairman Mr. Tim Jones (Citizens Community Bank, Hahira), Senator John F. Kennedy (bill sponsor), CBA President and CEO Mr. John McNair and CBA Director of Legislative Affairs Mrs. Lori Godfrey. The Governor offered remarks, signed SB 157 and visited with community bankers afterwards. CBA hosted a brief reception following the ceremony.

Congresso American Diabetes Association

Posted by fidest press agency su martedì, 29 giugno 2010

This is the starting point of the exhibition, and the inquiry embodies further questions concerning an exhibition: Who are the authors? For whom an exhibition is created? And what apparatus is an exhibition produced and mediated? These questions address one single important issue,i.e. the objectivity of an exhibition−Why is an exhibition created at all?— to reflect on the fundamental problematic of art. The “individual” of these questions might refer to artists, curators, art administrators, culture policy makers, critics, gallerists, collectors, educators, and spectators among others. The entire reproduction system and ecology of arts constituted by these divisions of labors has incorporated multiple structures of power, through their sophisticated interconnections, in turns to affirm the subjectivity of each role.
