Posted by fidest press agency su mercoledì, 13 luglio 2016

Galerie Léage38 years aldready! To celebrate its 20th participation at the Biennale des Antiquaires, Galerie Léage highlights the prestige of the 18th century French decorative arts with the gallery’s exceptional selection of furniture and objets d’art in a novel scenography.
« Our gallery has been faithful to the Biennale des Antiquaires since 1978; each edition is a privileged instant to present rare pieces on a background of fantastic wood-panellings. Its unique and ephemeral character is a promise of excellence, and aesthetic confrontation – the values that have been intrinsically linked with the gallery for over forty years » comments Guillaume Léage.
Located since 1992 in the heart of Faubourg Saint-Honoré, at the corner with rue de Berri, the gallery welcomes on its premises Collectors, Art Lovers and Museum Curators from all over the world. Galerie François Léage, fifth generation of renowned antiques dealers, offers an exceptional showcase for French, and some Russian, 18th century furniture and objets d’art.
The Léage family proudly adheres to the family tradition of museum donators. Pieces originating from Galerie François Léage can be found, amongst others, in the collections of the Châteaux of Versailles and Compiègne, at the Jean-Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles and the Metropolitan Museum of New York. The gallery participates at the Biennale des Antiquaires since 1978, at the BRAFA since 2015, and is co-organizer of the Nocturne Rive Droite. 26th Biennale des Antiquaires

Posted by fidest press agency su venerdì, 24 febbraio 2012

Paris from the 14 to 23 september 2012 Maison Kraemer – 43 rue de Monceau.Maison Kraemer will present the first solo exhibition devoted to the great cabinet maker Jean-Henri Riesener at the Biennale des Antiquaires. This exhibition, brought in museum fashion and which will later take to the road, marks another brilliant event by Maison Kraemer. Authenticity, beauty, rarity, and originality: such are the key words that have guided Maison Kraemer’s decisions since 1875. For six generations, Maison Kraemer has been developing a tradition of discretion while regularly welcoming art lovers and great interior decorators to its “gallery home”. Not only is Maison Kraemer the oldest Parisian gallery specializing in high-end art objects from the 17th and 18th centuries, it is also the most renowned. Situated in a town house at 43 rue de Monceau, Paris, it attracts the attention of private collectors and great international museums alike. Numerous are those who take a special interest in the work of one of the cabinet makers most often shown at museums the world over: Jean-Henri Riesener. The Louvre, Château de Versailles, the Nissim de Camondo museum, the New York Metropolitan Museum, the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, to name a few, are among the institutions for which the Kraemers have been suppliers or donors. At the Biennale des Antiquaires, the Kraemers have demonstrated an ability to adapt creations from the Age of Enlightenment to contemporary interiors by surprising visitors in 2008 with two giant glass cubes which served as showcases for their furniture; and in 2010 with a recreation of the White House’s Oval Office.
