Four Conversations on a Changing World Between Canada and Italy

Posted by fidest press agency su mercoledì, 23 settembre 2020

Sep 23, 2020 12:30 PM in Eastern Time (US and Canada) The ongoing global pandemic is forcing us to rethink the word VOID, that we all experienced with the lockdown and the social distancing – an empty space in our homes and cities, but also a feeling of unhappiness because someone or something is missing. Instead of filling the void, we’d like to explore the positive and generative possibilities of new forms of the empty space with Davide Pizzigoni, architect, scenographer and artist, author of The shape of the empty space, and Bruce Kuwabara, one of Canada’s leading architects, founding partner of KPMB Architects, in conversation with moderator Francesca Molteni.

Nord America: insolvenze di nuovo in crescita in USA e Canada

Posted by fidest press agency su lunedì, 10 febbraio 2020

Maggiori informazioni presso

Acerus Provides Update on Temporary Unavailability of Natesto in Canada and South Korea

Posted by fidest press agency su martedì, 5 novembre 2019

Acerus Pharmaceuticals Corporation (TSX:ASP, OTCQB:ASPCF) today provided an update on the temporary unavailability of NATESTO® in Canada and South Korea, following the previous announcement of the voluntary replacement of certain NATESTO® lots released on the Canadian and South Korean markets.Acerus made minor modifications to the manufacturing process that appear to have resolved the previously identified issues and has produced a batch of NATESTO® (the “Revised Batch”). While Acerus believed the changes would have been classified by Health Canada as level III, thereby requiring only an annual notification update to Health Canada and allowing for product to be released in Q4-2019, Health Canada, after much deliberation, classified the modifications as level I, requiring the submission of a Supplemental New Drug Submission (“SNDS”) prior to the release of the Revised Batch in the Canadian market. In the event that Health Canada utilizes the full regulatory allotted time for reviewing a SNDS, Acerus would expect the Revised Batch to be released in the Canadian Market in Q1-2021. Acerus continues to work with Health Canada to facilitate an expeditious review of the SNDS and minimize market disruptions. At this time, the current supply of NATESTO® to the United States is not affected by this situation. Acerus is working with its South Korean partner to determine whether the Revised Batch can be released in the South Korean market and, if so, under what timeframes.

L’On.

Posted by fidest press agency su sabato, 19 ottobre 2019

Fucsia Nissoli Fitzgerald (FI), eletta in Nord e Centro America.

Tilray® Announces Support of Two New Clinical Research Studies in Australia and Canada

Posted by fidest press agency su mercoledì, 3 aprile 2019

Tilray, Inc. (NASDAQ:TLRY), a global leader in cannabis research and production, today announced its support of two new clinical studies: a pilot study led by Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) in Melbourne, to evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of a larger randomized placebo-controlled trial of cannabis extract as a form of treatment for reducing Severe Behavioral Problems (SBP) in pediatric patients with Intellectual Disabilities (ID); and a study with McGill University Health Centre’s Division of Infectious Diseases and Chronic Viral Illness, to examine the effectiveness of medical cannabis on immune activation in People Living with HIV.“Tilray is at the forefront of clinical research in the medical cannabis field and we’re very proud to support two groundbreaking studies that have potential to identify more indications in which medical cannabis can benefit patients in-need,” says Philippe Lucas, VP of Global Patient Research and Access, Tilray. “We are committed to advancing cannabinoid-based science to further understand the potential benefits of medical cannabis as a treatment option among these critical patient populations. There is a serious need for more clinical data in our field, and we are proud to support research like this around the world.”Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in Australia:Over 50,000 youth in Australia today have Intellectual Disability with Severe Behavioral Problems such as irritability, aggression, and self-injury. Anti-psychotic and other psychotropic medications are prescribed for half of these patients in Australia, despite limited evidence for their efficacy and a high risk of serious side-effects, including weight gain, metabolic syndrome and extrapyramidal movement disorders. Polypharmacy and off-label prescribing are common in these patients, and drugs are sometimes added to treat side effects. Novel interventions are urgently needed for this highly vulnerable patient group. The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians have highlighted the need for further research into the therapeutic uses of cannabinoids in youth. There is intense interest from parents and physicians in medical cannabis as a treatment for SBP in youth with ID. Research to date suggests that CBD and other cannabis extracts, have had fewer reported side-effects than anti-psychotic medications; however, there is currently insufficient evidence to inform its use in treating SBP. MCRI is among the first institutions to conduct research specifically testing the effectiveness of CBD on patients with intellectual disabilities to reduce severe behavioral problems.
