CWT appoints new members to its Executive Leadership Team and announces appointment of interim CFO

Minneapolis, 12 May 2022: CWT, the Business-to-Business-for-Employees (B2B4E) travel management platform, announces the appointments of Belinda Hindmarsh as Chief Growth Officer, and Brian Mogler as Chief Partnership Officer. They, and Julia Kou, CWT’s Chief Strategy Officer will all now report to Patrick Andersen, CWT’s President and CEO, and become members of the company’s Executive Leadership Team, with immediate effect. Additionally, Judy Hendrick has been appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) from 1 July 2022, taking over from Bill Courtney, CWT’s current CFO, who has announced his intention to retire at the end of June 2022.Immediately prior to her appointment as Chief Growth Officer, Belinda Hindmarsh was Chief Operating Officer of RoomIt and China, and she will continue to spearhead these and other commercial developments, plus marketing and communications. She joined CWT in 2018 to lead Global Sales Effectiveness and was appointed SVP Global Market Management & Market Development in 2020. Belinda has over 20 years’ experience in the travel tech space, having held various international and global operations, marketing, supplier management and commercial roles with Expedia Group and Aer Lingus.Prior to his appointment as Chief Partnership Officer, Brian Mogler was CWT’s Head of Global Supplier Management and Solutions Group, and he retains responsibility for CWT’s Air & Ground Transportation strategy, commercial relationships, revenue and supplier agreements and supplier e-commerce and merchandising strategy. He will also take on responsibility for CWT’s Global Partnership Network and certain technology partners. He has more than 30 years’ travel industry experience, and joined CWT in 2011, having held a variety of management roles at American Express Corporate Card, American Express Business Travel, and United Airlines.Julia Kou was appointed Chief Strategy Officer in April 2022, and is dedicated to leading corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions, strategic transactions, business insights & analytics, and is responsible for enabling CWT’s company’s vision and strategic priorities. Jim Shepherd joins CWT as Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance, Lisa Papageorge is confirmed as Vice President Treasurer, having held this role on an interim basis since joining the business in February 2022, and Julia Kou is appointed to the newly created role of Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer. Jim brings more than 20 years senior leadership experience in the areas of finance, strategy, and operational excellence, delivering shareholder value and strategic impact for Fortune 500 companies. He joins CWT via Medtronic, where he served as the Vice President of Strategy and Transformation for Global Operations and Supply Chain. Dallas based Lisa Papageorge, has served as a prominent member of CWT’s Finance & Strategy Leadership Team since the start of the year, successfully overseeing CWT’s treasury and investor relations organization. Before joining CWT, Lisa was Treasurer at Service King Collisions Repairs, where she was responsible for the company’s implementation of cash management programs. Prior to that, she spent over six years at Dr Pepper Snapple Group where she led the global treasury function, cash flow management, and banking relationships. Following her appointment as Head of Strategy, Planning & Analytics in 2020, Julia Kou has been responsible for the effective alignment of CWT’s strategic plans to its investments, whilst overseeing corporate planning, pricing & profitability, and business insights functions. CWT and Etihad initiate exclusive carbon offsetting partnership

The first partnership of its kind between Etihad and a TMC, this initiative will see all CWT client bookings made on Etihad-operated flights automatically offset by the airline using the ICAO Carbon Emissions Calculation methodology. CWT granted accommodation patent

CWT in partnership con Timeshifter per offrire ai viaggiatori una soluzione al jet lag

Minneapolis. CWT, la piattaforma di gestione di viaggi B2B4E, annuncia la partnership con Timeshifter® – The Jet Lag App®. Timeshifter offre ai viaggiatori d’affari la possibilità di creare propri piani personalizzati per contrastare gli effetti del jet lag sulla base del modello di sonno individuale, del cronotipo, dell’itinerario e delle abitudini personali quali la preparazione al viaggio o l’impiego della melatonina per rendere più rapido l’adattamento.

Tendo a essere stanco, sveglio e affamato al momento sbagliato, e riprendermi da un viaggio può essere complicato”, afferma Patrice Simon, Vice President of New Product Development di CWT. “Siamo molto lieti di offrire una soluzione innovativa che consente ai viaggiatori d’affari di elaborare piani personalizzati di contrasto al jet lag in grado di aumentare la loro efficienza durante le riunioni di lavoro all’estero”.Al jet lag, che colpisce chi attraversa diversi fusi orari, sono spesso imputabili ridotte prestazioni lavorative, disagi in famiglia e disturbi della salute e, secondo uno studio di Conde Nast Traveler, il 93% dei passeggeri sui voli a lungo raggio dichiara di affrontare con difficoltà questa problematica. Timeshifter si basa sul sonno e sulla neuroscienza dei ritmi circadiani. In base a quanto emerso da 63.607 questionari compilati per mano di utenti Timeshifter, da quando seguono i consigli forniti dal sistema solo il 3,62% dei viaggiatori ha subito gli effetti negativi del jet lag.Timeshifter è stato sviluppato con il supporto di Steven Lockley, professore associato presso la Harvard Medical School. Il dottor Lockley ha lavorato per oltre un decennio applicando la scienza circadiana agli astronauti della NASA per alleviare il loro jet lag, migliorare il sonno e la prontezza durante gli allenamenti fuori sede e aiutarli a modificare i ritmi sonno-veglia prima del lancio della navetta. CWT nomina Linda Creighton VP, Customer Business Finance

Minneapolis. CWT, la piattaforma di gestione dei viaggi B2B4E, ha nominato Linda Creighton Vice President, Business Finance in ambito Customer Organization. Nel suo ruolo, la cui portata è stata recentemente ampliata, Linda – con il suo team – sarà responsabile, oltre che del potenziamento delle attività di supporto aziendale di CWT, anche dell’innalzamento del livello e dell’ottimizzazione dell’analisi sul pricing e sulla redditività.Riportando a Michelle Frymire, CFO, Creighton entra così a far parte dei team Financial Leadership e Customer Leadership di CWT.“Non potrei essere più entusiasta nel promuovere Linda a questo nuovo incarico, nel quale avrà, senza dubbio, un immediato impatto positivo”, ha dichiarato Michelle Frymire. “Linda è stata per molti anni una componente altamente stimata e apprezzata del team Finance di CWT e ammiro la sua capacità di condurre la funzione finanziaria in un business di vertice complesso mantenendo, al contempo, un’attenzione incessante al servizio e al supporto ai clienti”.
Dopo essere entrata in CWT come Manager, Operations Analysis nel 1996, negli ultimi 23 anni Linda Creighton ha ricoperto diverse posizioni apicali all’interno dell’azienda. È stata promossa Director, Pricing nel 1999, VP Global Pricing & Client Finance nel 2005, VP Finance Transformation nel 2013 e VP Business Finance – Americas, GCG & Pricing nel 2018. Prima di entrare in CWT, ha trascorso 13 anni in Thomas Cook Travel rivestendo ruoli manageriali nei settori finanza, analisi finanziaria e contabilità. Linda Creighton ha conseguito una laurea in Business Administration presso la University of Dayton.

CWT nomina Erica Antony Chief Product Officer

In questo ruolo – di recentissima istituzione –, Antony fornirà leadership e focus specifici nella guida della strategia di prodotto e dell’offerta di CWT sul mercato. In precedenza, ha occupato ruoli senior nello sviluppo guidando la strategia di prodotto e le principali iniziative di trasformazione presso diverse aziende tecnologiche globali, tra le quali Symantec, Veritas e Arcserve.Ha conseguito lauree sia in Matematica sia in Scienze informatiche presso la University of Wisconsin La Crosse e ha frequentato l’Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development.

CWT nomina Laura Watterson Senior Vice President, Talent & Rewards

In questo ruolo appena istituito Watterson e il suo team forniranno, nell’intera azienda, indirizzi e consulenza ad ampio spettro in materia di acquisizione e gestione dei talenti, formazione e sviluppo, nonché su premi e benefit ai dirigenti senior. Inoltre, Laura svilupperà strategie e iniziative volte a predisporre il business di CWT per un’ulteriore crescita, per l’innovazione e per un impatto più incisivo, pianificando le esigenze dei dipendenti di oggi e del futuro.Watterson riporta a Catherine Maguire-Vielle, Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer di CWT.

Watterson ha saputo generare un impatto positivo in molteplici settori e aziende Fortune 500 attraverso un’eccellente gestione delle risorse umane, implementando processi innovativi dedicati ai talenti per migliorare impegno e coinvolgimento e creando sistemi infrastrutturali sostenibili dedicate alle persone.Ha conseguito un Master in Industrial and Labor Relations alla Cornell University e il Bachelor of Arts in French presso la Washington and Lee University.

CWT Simplifies its EMEA Operations to Accelerate its Customer Service proposition

Minneapolis. CWT, the B2B4E travel management platform, announces plans to simplify its EMEA operating model within four geographies this month. Following the successful move from a country to a cross-functional EMEA operating model across several major markets last year, CWT is to move its Greece, Morocco, Eastern Europe & Baltic local market management this month into cross-functional Market Management Teams.“I am delighted with the positive customer response we’ve had over the last year following adjustments made to our customer organization within Germany, Italy, Benelux, UK & Ireland, France, and Spain. Moving from Country Directors to Market Management teams has made us more agile and responsive to our clients’ needs across EMEA,” said Chris Bowen, CWT’s Managing Director, EMEA. “The cross-functional, local management approach has been successfully tried and tested over the last year —and well received by customers who see it as proof that CWT knows how innovate internally as well as with our service offering.”As part of these changes, the role of Country Manager has been removed for Greece, Morocco, Eastern Europe and The Baltics, incorporating Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Romania and The Ukraine.As a result, the following people are leaving the company at the end of the month: Anthony Venios, Country General Manager Greece; Abdelhamid Bernoussi, General Manager Morocco; Carmen Alexandru, Country Manager Romania; Judit Kollar, General Manager Hungary; Jiri Homolka, Country Manager Czech Republic; Pauls Gusts, Deputy General Manager Latvia and Rasa Barisiene, General Manager Lithuania and Latvia. Kateryna Tarkhanova, Country Manager Ukraine; will leave the company at the end of February. “I thank Anthony, Abdelhamid, Carmen, Judit, Kateryna, Jiri, Pauls and Rasa for their hard work and dedication and wish them all the best in their future endeavors,” said Chris Bowen.

CWT nomina Scott Hace Vice President Enterprise Strategy

Nel suo nuovo ruolo, Scott e il suo gruppo, oltre a fornire supporto materiale al board di CWT, saranno responsabili dello sviluppo e della realizzazione dei progetti strategici chiave.Hace riferisce a Julia Kou, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Strategy & Corporate Development di CWT. “Siamo entusiasti di dare a Scott il benvenuto nel team. Inoltre, la divisione Enterprise Strategy lavora a stretto contatto con la leadership di CWT nella definizione delle priorità nel programma a breve e medio termine, valutando al contempo le opportunità di sviluppo del business di CWT sul lungo periodo.La presenza nel team Enterprise Strategy non rappresenta una novità per Hace, essendo entrato in azienda, nel 2015, proprio come Director di questa divisione.
