Visit Brescia vince gli Hospitality Social Award 2020

Prima classificata nella categoria “Destinazioni turistiche”: Visit Brescia, la Destination Management Organization bresciana che promuove il turismo di Brescia e della sua provincia, è salita sul podio della della 9^ edizione del premio nazionale “Hospitality Social Award” per l’eccellente attività svolta sul fronte del Social Media Marketing turistico.L’annuncio è stato dato al Palacongressi di Rimini, in occasione dell“Hospitality Day”, il più importante evento italiano dedicato al mondo dell’ospitalità. Alla premiazione erano presenti Graziano Pennacchio – AD Visit Brescia, Manuel Gabriele – Direttore Visit Brescia, Debora Simbeni – Social Media Manager Visit Brescia.Ad illustrare le motivazioni è intervenuto Nicola Delvecchio di Teamwork, società di consulenza alberghiera promotrice del premio: “Il Premio è stato conferito a Visit Brescia per la capacità di comunicare un territorio in modo innovativo e in un periodo molto particolare, per l’organizzazione e la qualità dei contenuti. Si tratta di un messaggio importante: la comunicazione fatta bene, empatica, strategica e strutturata mettendo al centro il turista, porta ad ottimi risultati”.Un traguardo prestigioso, quello raggiunto dell’ente bresciano con sede alla Camera di Commercio di Brescia, giunto a pochi giorni di distanza da un altro evento di rilevanza nazionale sul tema dei contenuti digitali: l’8^Assemblea Nazionale Igers Italia – il raduno per la promozione territoriale, turistica e culturale promosso dalla più grande community italiana nata attorno ad Instagram – che dal 25 al 27 settembre ha fatto di Brescia la sede delle proprie iniziative. FoodMaven Announces New Sustainability Initiative with Local Hospitality Partners

FoodMaven, a Colorado-based startup, announced today an initiative aimed at helping hospitality institutions source local, sustainable food products for their kitchens in Colorado and Texas. The initiative is already in place at Hilton properties in Denver including DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel-Westminster, Hilton Denver City Center, and Hilton Stapleton North. “As part of Hilton’s Travel with Purpose commitment to cut our environmental footprint in half by 2030 and double our social impact investment around the world, we are identifying solutions to reduce food waste and expand sustainable sourcing,” said Terry Jenkins, Sr. Manager of Corporate Responsibility Americas, Hilton. “Our hotels are finding innovative local partners to help achieve these goals and make an even greater positive impact.”
Sourcing local food items can be challenging for already-established hotel chains, who often need to reach out to multiple suppliers for specific food products. FoodMaven retains valuable relationships with local suppliers to navigate the logistics and provide buyers with an online marketplace that allows them to see product in FoodMaven inventory. FoodMaven fully integrates their technology into the hotel’s existing purchasing platform, creating a seamless buying experience.

Living witness, justice, and hospitality: General Assembly highlights issues for public concern

The 2018 Novi Sad General Assembly of the Conference of European Churches recommended to CEC Member Churches six areas for concern in the coming years: economic and climate justice, security, arms and nonviolence, refugees and migration, human rights, populism, and the family.
Today, it is the poorest who suffer the most to adapt to climate change and ecological devastation. It is unjust that those who have contributed the least to climate change suffer the most. Jesus teaches that we must care for the least of these, and so we must confront profound economic and climate injustice through advocacy and action. Churches are called to use the international Sustainable Development Goals in their efforts in ecological and economic justice, support grassroots efforts, work for intergenerational justice, and continue advocacy efforts at the European level.
Recent developments at European and global levels risks the European Union’s role as an instrument of peacebuilding and reconciliation. Arms development, production, and export is a major contributor to the outbreak and continuation of armed conflict and war, and forced migration. Churches are called to strengthen their voices against the militarisation of the EU, advance a Christian perspective on security, advocated against any further development of nuclear weapons, and explore the theological dimensions of security, arms, and non-violence.
The mass movement and displacement of people touches all CEC Member Churches and peoples in Europe today. Economic conditions, climate change, youth unemployment, and so on, prompt many people to leave their homes in search of better lives elsewhere. Churches are called to advocate for safe and legal access to Europe, as well as fair and just asylum procedures, and humane return policies. Churches are also encouraged to speak out against the criminalization of solidarity with undocumented migrants and support humanitarian initiatives for search and rescue at sea.
Building a Europe for all is an important task for European churches. Diversity and plurality in Europe is a richness, and churches and religious communities are an important part of this. Existing European frameworks favour extended freedom of religion or belief, and the 2001 Charta Oecumenica encourages dialogue between minority and majority churches. Churches are called to support each other in working for freedom of religion or belief, including access to holy places and places of worship, and in strengthening universality of human rights, such as civil political, social, economic and cultural rights.
The situation in Kosovo is particularly complex. The significant factors include control of arms trade, EU’s support to protection of cultural heritage, engagement of UN forces in preventing conflict and opening of a political dialogue between the Albanian authorities in Kosovo and the representatives of persecuted Serbian Orthodox minority.European Churches are supporting the Serbian Orthodox Church and other religious communities in Kosovo, northern part of Cyprus (area not under the effective control of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus) and elsewhere in their fight for full implementation of fundamental human rights, including freedom of religion or belief.
Today, populist parties are on the rise, and take advantage of democratic processes to gain power and recognition. Decline in living standards and rising unemployment rates, especially among young people, undoubtable goes in favour of strengthening extreme nationalism and increasing populism. Exclusionary politics shrinks public discourse—a serious problem for European societies. Churches are called to be a uniting force in their local communities, build bridges with other partners with common values and commitments, and continually work for greater youth engagement.
A Christian family should be a shelter where one learns to love, to support, to care about the other, to offer hospitality and be attentive to sufferings. This path for justice and love can begin in the home and expand outward, reaching entire communities. Growing circles of nurture draw on the gifts and love of others and draw them into what we call family. We must not underestimate the importance of this understanding of family for the fate of our societies. It is, therefore, unacceptable that this right is undermined or violated for so many, especially asylum seekers, refugees, and minors who arrive to Europe unaccompanied. Member Churches are called to start a dialogue on the condition and attitudes toward family life, including gender justice, and how this impacts life in Europe today.

Master internazionale di primo livello

Perugia 1° Febbraio l’attività didattica del Master internazionale di I livello in <<Comunicazione e management per il settore turistico>>, organizzato dall’Università per Stranieri di Perugia in collaborazione con il Centro Italiano di Studi sul Turismo di Assisi.  Al progetto, patrocinato dal Comune di Assisi, hanno aderito anche la Federalberghi regionale e l’Associazione direttori d’albergo dell’Umbria.  Il master, diretto dal prof. Emidio Diodato, sono stati ammessi diciannove laureati con differenti percorsi formativi alle spalle, che hanno superato un’affollata selezione. Di questi, 11 potranno contare su una borsa di studio erogata dall’INPDAP – l’Ente Nazionale di Assistenza per i Dipendenti Pubblici – che ha inserito questo Master nel ristretto numero di corsi di alta formazione certificati dall’Ente.
Questo modulo ha infatti tra gli obiettivi formativi lo sviluppo di specifiche competenze nell’analisi delle opportunità offerte al turismo nazionale dai mercati esteri e, in particolare, dai cosiddetti mercati emergenti, al fine di concretizzarne le istanze in linee di offerta e strategie di comunicazione. Il percorso formativo del master è articolato in 300 ore di aula, che si svolgeranno ad Assisi, presso la sede del Cst. Al termine delle lezioni frontali sono previste 700 ore di stage in hotel, tour operators e/o aziende di settore, per dare agli studenti l’opportunità di applicare le conoscenze acquisite e comprendere l’effettivo perimetro operativo dell’hospitality

Iraqi refugees: EP delegation visits Syria

The European Parliament Delegation expressed its “appreciation on how Syria has become a shelter for hundreds of thousands of refugees from Iraq”. Furthermore, it underlined “how the country has continued to show genuine hospitality towards the refugees, despite the significant socio-economic challenges which come with hosting them”.Representing the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE), Juan Fernando López Aguilar (LIBE chairman and Head of delegation, S&D, ES) Rui Tavares (Rapporteur, GUE/NGL, PT) and Georgios Papanikolaou (EPP, EL) conducted the three day mission.Delegation conclusions • Appreciates the hospitality and transparency of the Syrian Authorities in facilitating the Delegation’s access to the refugees, • Had excellent opportunity to gather first hand information necessary to deliver better legislative proposals for EU asylum policy, in particular concerning resettlement, • Will report to other MEPs about the continued need of assistance to refugees, which the EU and its Members States should deliver, • Believes that its testimony will strengthen EU Member States involvement for the improvement of resettlement efforts targeted also at Iraqi refugees, • Believes that the EU’s new legal framework under the Lisbon Treaty will imply a diplomatic shift for the 27 Member States in order to improve the efficiency in finding political solutions to challenges in the Middle East. Trusts that it would be the most efficient way to diminish the suffering of civilians. • Is impressed with the quality and quantity of assistance to refugees provided by the Government of Syria, the UNHCR and the NGOs present in Syria, • Has improved its knowledge as to the possible steps which could be taken to improve the European policy for refugees, which would have a universal and long lasting character, • Resettlement is one of the long-term solutions to help refugees and it can be applied when the return to the home country is not a realistic possibility. Polibagni di PisaL’hospitality designer italiana, Patrizia Poli, ha realizzato due delle Spa più belle del mondo  e conquista lo Spa Finder Award 2009   Il prestigioso magazine statunitense “Spa Finder” premia ogni anno le SPA più votate dai frequent travellers e dai turisti del jet set che girano il mondo alla ricerca del Centro Benessere ideale.   La crisi non sfiora il settore. Ogni giorno nel mondo nascono 100 nuove luxury SPA dedicate a chi mette al primo posto il wellness e la bellezza. Per i turisti di tutto il mondo, infatti, sono ormai fondamentali gli spazi relax, i servizi delle beauty farm e le atmosfere esclusive e protettive. E’ questo il filo conduttore del lavoro dell’architetto Patrizia Poli: “Cerco di ricreare gli ambienti mantenendo un legame con la storia. Ottengo il massimo comfort grazie alla luce e ai toni caldi, agli arredi sobri e chiari. Quando progetto un albergo o una SPA penso alla donna, al suo bisogno di sicurezza. Per questo uso linee curve, atmosfere rilassanti e ambienti che siano in grado di proteggere e accogliere”.  Dopo una laurea in architettura a Firenze (1991), Poli ha seguito laboratori di marketing per l’ospitalità e i seminari di Hotel Planning & Design del Prof. Richard Penner della Cornell University.  Nel 2000 fonda AB, “Architetture del Benessere”, un network di professionisti, esperti di ospitalità, marketing e strategie di gestione e da anni lavora con Trademark Italia, nel supporto e nella consulenza agli operatori del settore turismo. “Mi dedico – spiega – alla progettazione di alberghi, relais, centri fitness e termali, affrontando interventi di restauro e di trasformazione di immobili storici in strutture alberghiere.
