Q-State Biosciences and 2bPrecise Announce Partnership

Q-State Biosciences and 2bPrecise will partner to build robust clinical-genomic datasets enabling healthcare providers to better leverage precision medicine when treating patients with genetic conditions. The collaboration will facilitate the advance of novel insights that health systems can incorporate to improve clinical practice and that pharmaceutical companies can use in the development of new therapies.
The partnership – backed by 2bPrecise parent company Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (Nasdaq:MDRX) – will combine 2bPrecise’s cloud-based, EHR-independent platform that brings genomic data into the clinical workflow with Q-State’s whole-genome and whole-exome sequencing, transcriptomics and leading functional phenotyping capabilities. The collaboration will benefit patients and care organizations by supporting improved diagnostic yields and patient outcomes, and by providing clinical tools to help match patients with precise therapies based on their health attributes and genetic profile. Likewise, it will help pharmaceutical firms accelerate therapeutic discovery through the identification of novel disease targets, stratification of patient populations and expedited clinical-trial recruitment paths.

Gateway First Bank Renews Partnership

Gateway First Bank, one of the ten largest banks by assets in the State of Oklahoma and one of the largest mortgage bank operations in the United States, announced it renewed its annual partnership with Folds of Honor. Since 2007, Folds of Honor has carried forth its mission to provide educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service-members.Beginning in May of 2017, Gateway announced that for every mortgage loan closed through its mortgage centers nationwide, it would donate $5 to Folds of Honor. Gateway extended its partnership with the non-profit organization in May of 2019 for an additional 12 months whereby the company continues its pledge to support the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. ZestFinance Announces AI Lending Partnership With via Varejo and Banqi

I limiti delle partnership lavorative

In un mondo lavorativo sempre più dominato dalla competizione, avere un’idea brillante non sempre equivale a una grande opportunità di business se non supportata dal giusto socio in affari. Basti pensare che alcune delle compagnie più famose al mondo sono nate da proficue partnership lavorative capaci di superare le avversità, visto che non sempre i rapporti societari tra “Il Gatto e la Volpe” sono idilliaci: Steve Jobs e Steve Wozniak hanno fondato Apple, Mike Krieger e Kevin Systrom hanno creato Instagram, Larry Page e Sergey Brin hanno portato alla luce Google, William Procter e James Gamble hanno ideato l’omonima Procter & Gamble, mentre Bill Gates e Paul Allen hanno fondato Microsoft. Ma cosa accade quando a prevalere sono le incomprensioni tra soci? Secondo una ricerca americana pubblicata su Forbes, oltre il 70% delle giovani startup fallisce nel giro di 5 anni a causa di conflitti interni. Molte partnership si concludono infatti per una mancanza di valori condivisi che diventa a lungo andare una fonte crescente di attrito. E ancora, secondo un’indagine di Harvard Business Review, lo scontro tra personalità differenti è una delle cause principali che porta alla rottura di una partnership, seguita soltanto dalla mancanza di fiducia. Ma quali sono i consigli degli esperti per trovare il business partner ideale e iniziare un percorso duraturo? Bisogna possedere delle competenze complementari in modo da creare sinergie virtuose, impostare correttamente gli accordi della partnership sin dall’inizio per evitare beghe legali in futuro e comprendere in maniera onesta le dinamiche di ruolo.“La partnership societaria può rappresentare una notevole forza propulsiva verso risultati di successo, ma al tempo stesso configurarsi come una gabbia da cui non si riesce a uscire facilmente. Le ragioni di successo o insuccesso sono da ricercarsi sia nella dinamica che si crea fra i soci stessi, sia nelle caratteristiche individuali – spiega Marina Osnaghi, prima Master Certified Coach in Italia, che ha affiancato grandi imprenditori e professionisti nel raggiungimento dei propri obbiettivi – Per dinamica s’intende il tipo di relazione che si sviluppa tra le due parti, caratterizzata da ruoli ufficiali che vengono determinati anche dal tipo di comportamento. Molto spesso accade che una persona si sacrifica e l’altra si lamenta in continuazione, una rimane in silenzio e l’altra si sente incompresa. Per questo motivo è fondamentale impostare correttamente gli accordi commerciali sin dall’inizio, comunicare in maniera costante e, se necessario, avere la capacità di chiudere al momento giusto”. Ma non è tutto, perché le partnership lavorative tendono a diventare più ostiche e difficili da mantenere nel tempo se i soci in affari sono coinvolti in una relazione amorosa o addirittura legati da un vincolo matrimoniale. Basti pensare che secondo una ricerca americana pubblicata su Entrepreneur, il 45% delle coppie sposate che decide di instaurare una partnership lavorativa finisce poi per interrompere la propria relazione o addirittura divorziare. Dato che si amplifica anche nel mondo dello star system dove, nel corso degli anni, sono state numerose le coppie di celebrities americane ad aver iniziato un business assieme per poi mollare il colpo: Jay-Z e Beyoncé hanno lanciato nel 2014 Tidal, un servizio musicale in streaming che si prefiggeva lo scopo di rivoluzionare l’intero settore, salvo poi decidere di estromettersi, Demi Moore e Bruce Willis hanno fondato negli anni ’90 Planet Hollywood, una catena di ristorazione ispirata al mondo glamour del cinema, decidendo poi di non investirci più, Debi Mazar e lo chef Gabriele Corcos hanno aperto nel 2015 un ristorante a Brooklyn chiamato Tuscan Gun Officine Alimentari, andato in bancarotta nel giro di 3 anni.

MedMen Launches Partnership with Epilepsy Florida

Partnership Framework Agreement with Institut Pasteur on Gene Therapy Programs Targeting Hearing Loss

Sensorion (Paris:ALSEN) (FR0012596468 – ALSEN) a pioneering clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company which specialises in the development of novel therapies to restore, treat and prevent inner ear diseases such as hearing loss, tinnitus and vertigo, today announces the signature of a research partnership framework agreement with Institut Pasteur (Paris) granting to Sensorion an option to obtain exclusive licenses to develop and market drug candidates in gene therapy coming from collaborative projects, for the restoration, treatment and prevention of hearing disorders.In accordance with the letter of intent announced the 23rd of November 2018, Sensorion and Institut Pasteur have leveraged the last six months to reach a partnership framework agreement. This agreement provides for, after completion of a research program, an exclusive option to obtain licences. The terms of the licences are predefined for two specific programs aiming at correcting hereditary monogenic forms of deafness including Usher Type 1 and deafness caused by a mutation of the gene encoding Otoferlin. As for the other projects in the field of hereditary monogenic forms of deafness, the terms of the licences will be negotiated in light of the results of the research programs. Lastly, Sensorion has preference rights on Institut Pasteur’s research programs in the field of genetic inner ear diseases in order to set up collaborations.In the event of a change of control of Sensorion that has not been approved by the Sensorion Board of Directors, Institut Pasteur has the right to terminate the partnership framework agreement.
The Genetics and Physiology of the Hearing Unit of Institut Pasteur, led by Professor Christine Petit, has developed world-class expertise over the last 25 years in the molecular physiology and physiopathology of the hearing system. Recent advances have led to the development of gene therapy programs to treat monogenic form of inner ear diseases. Researchers, including the Institut Pasteur team, have managed to restore hearing in a mouse model of DFNB9 (Otoferlin) deafness, a hearing disorder that is one of the most common cases of congenital genetic deafness. This work was published in a prestigious scientific journal.
