4th industrial revolution on the energy sector

Posted by fidest press agency su giovedì, 25 aprile 2019

The fourth industrial revolution or as it is also called “Industry 4.0” is an era of innovation characterized by the transition to automated digital production, managed by intelligent systems in real time. The new type of industrial production is based on such technologies as big data, automation, blockchain, Internet of things, artificial intelligence, smart grids. It is obvious that the coming industrial reality will have a significant impact on all spheres of life. Experts of the VIII Global Energy Prize Summit`s round table devoted to the fourth industrial revolution, considered the impact of “Industry 4.0” on the energy sector, assessed the benefits of technological innovations and possible risks.
Despite the possible risks, many countries are introducing new technologies as a platform for future energy systems. In particular, in the chain of production, transportation, distribution, storage and consumption of energy. There are technologies that allow you to control energy processes from beginning to end. For example, according to Sauro Pasini, the Global Energy Prize expert, President of the International Flame Research Foundation, artificial intelligence and big data help predict the operation of the service networks, and to reduce downtime. In addition, continuous real-time data flows make it possible to create a digital version of any product or process, allowing manufacturers to predict results more accurately, identify problems more quickly and create quality products. Artificial intelligence makes an independent decision about what action to take upon detection of a failure. According to Sauro Pasini, the connection of the virtual and physical world will solve the problems before they arise. The expert gave an example of the technology of modeling the “digital twin” power plant with the parameters and data of the real installation. This simulation makes it possible to eliminate possible errors and track key performance indicators. He also noted that the fourth industrial revolution is not enough to consider only from a technological point of view. The formation of a new working class 4.0 with the skills and personal qualities necessary to work in an intelligent factory will be crucial. Only in this way it will be possible to properly implement the new realities of the industrial revolution and make technological advances available to companies and the entire civilization. It is also important to address the political norms and legal constraints of the new reality. Who will be responsible for the errors of the machine running on artificial intelligence.
The idea of the decisive role of political support for the new industrial revolution was supported by Dominique Fache, Member of the Global Energy Prize International Award Committee, Member of the Board of Directors of Technopark Sofia-Antipolis, Chairman of the RTF Board of Directors. In his view, technological change would be feasible only if it was backed up by political will. The expert also predicted that in the next 5-10 years there will be revolutionary changes in the energy sector. Energy storage technologies, solar energy and electric vehicles are the areas that will ensure these global transformations.

Unarmed revolution

Posted by fidest press agency su sabato, 9 marzo 2019

Pan-Africanists Simone and Laurent Gbagbo are the leading founders of Ivorian democracy with a personal history of over 40 years of non-violent struggle to achieve democratic reforms. The non-violent protest movement, known as “la révolution à mains nues”- unarmed or empty handed revolution- spearheaded in Cote d’Ivoire by Laurent and Simone and the party they founded in 1982, the Ivorian Popular Front (FPI).
Today Laurent Gbagbo, after having undergone 8 years of prison at the International Criminal Court, was acquitted of all charges on 16 January 2019, as ICC judges asked for his immediate release. That same day late in the evening and despite the acquittal the Prosecutor filed an appeal and arrested Gbagbo again. Gbagbo then spent an additional two other weeks in detention (as an acquitted individual) and was released on the 1 of February, yet with severe restrictions, breaching all principles of international human rights law.Laurent Gbagbo’s wife Simone was imprisoned in Cote d’Ivoire by the Alassane Ouattara dictatorship until 8 August 2018. After 7 years in prison, former Côte d’Ivoire First Lady Simone Gbagbo left her jail cell.
Charles Blé Goudé, a leading non-violent protest leader, represents the next generation that followed in their footsteps, calling for change through non-violent means. Blé Goudé stopped four armed regime change attempts by France, as thousands followed his calls to protest with bare hands. Charles Blé Goudé also underwent a year in prison in Cote d’Ivoire and 5 years of detention at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague in a joint trial with Laurent Gbagbo. He was also acquitted of all charges by the ICC Judges on 16 January 2019 and also rearrested and freed only two weeks later, yet setting strict restrictions, breaching international human rights law. Nearly two decades of an aggressive defamation campaigns targeting the movement’s leaders – and involving established NGOs, filmmakers, journalists, lawyers as well as politicians and academics -have wrongly depicted Gbagbo as a dictator, Simone Gbagbo as a iron lady and Charles Blé Goudé as a militia leader. Through video testimonies, historical analyses and current affairs the website provides information free of propaganda so organizations and individual citizens can develop their own opinions and take action to halt this injustice.
By providing information on the 2002 international war, which split the west African country in two and the regime change imposed by France and its western allies in 2011, we hope to contribute in halting the current unlawful prosecutions and bring a much needed true reconciliation to the country, as well as help indirectly to reinforce the democratization process on the African continent. One of the false facts often mentioned in main stream media is that Laurent Gbagbo lost the 2010 Presidential elections. The contrary is true. (By https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpqF7HoTu8c)

Preparing Youth for the Fourth Industrial Revolution

Posted by fidest press agency su giovedì, 31 maggio 2018

Educators teach to the test. They have to. Tests are powerful tools that tell people what they believe is important. What happens when vast amounts of what schools test can be answered in seconds on student’s smartphones? Rising numbers of college graduates are having difficulties finding jobs at the same time as employers complain they cannot find people with skills. In an exclusive new interview with C. M. Rubin, Founder of CMRubinWorld, OECD principal Andreas Schleicher reveals that it’s not uncommon to find “a few academics and government officials who determine what millions of students will learn” and these leaders “will often defend the scope and integrity of their discipline.” Schleicher is currently leading over 70 countries in their efforts to design and implement education policies and practices for a new world. “The reason why it is so hard to move school systems is that there is a much larger invisible part under the waterline. This invisible part is about the interests, beliefs, motivations and fears of the people who are involved in education, parents and teachers included.” He adds, “It will be our imagination, our awareness and our sense of responsibility that will enable us to harness the opportunities of the 21st century to shape the world for the better.”
Andreas Schleicher is Director for Education and Skills and Special Advisor on Education Policy to the Secretary-General at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris. He is the author of the newly released book, World Class: How to Build a 21st Century School System.Founded by C. M. Rubin, CMRubinWorld launched in 2010 to explore what kind of education would prepare students to succeed in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Its award-winning series, The Global Search for Education, is a celebrated trailblazer in the renaissance of the 21st century, and occupies a special place in the pulse of key issues facing every nation and the collective future of all children. It connects today’s top thought leaders with a diverse global audience of parents, students and educators. Its highly readable platform allows for discourse concerning our highest ideals and the sustainable solutions we must engineer to achieve them. C. M. Rubin has produced over 700 interviews and articles discussing an expansive array of topics under a singular vision: when it comes to the world of children, there is always more work to be done.

LMD Leads Revolution in Smartphone as Medical Device, Driving Growth of Remote Medical Consultation

Posted by fidest press agency su martedì, 27 febbraio 2018

Leman Micro Devices (LMD), the developer of regulated consumer healthcare products that is backed by major players within the mobile device industry, has announced that its V-Sensor and App integrated with next-generation smartphones will assist diagnosis by physicians and drive growth in remote medical consultation services by enabling patients to self-measure their own vital signs with medical accuracy for online appointments with doctors.Remote medical consultation services are already showing significant growth around the globe: people in developed countries often cannot find the time to visit doctors during medical centre working hours and appreciate the convenience and reassurance of being able to speak to a doctor 24/7; people in less developed nations can experience extreme difficulties in accessing face-to-face medical services. With over 7 billion mobile devices in use worldwide, mobile phones are now bringing widespread access to remote healthcare services to people no matter where they live.
Doctors conducting appointments remotely have had, until now, to rely on patients’ description of their symptoms, plus observation of what they can see using the phone’s camera. Now the essential addition of hard diagnostic data can be provided by LMD’s V-Sensor and App, which leads the field in smartphone medical devices. Integrated with next-gen smartphones, the V-Sensor and App enables patients to measure their own blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, blood oxygen level (SpO2) and body temperature with medical accuracy and share the information from these five vital signs with their doctor during the remote consultation, facilitating diagnosis. No external devices are needed; the smartphone provides the complete solution when equipped with a V-Sensor. V-Sensor uses the established Riva-Rocci technique to measure blood pressure, but instead of having a cuff on their arm, the user simply presses their index finger against LMD’s V-Sensor on the side of the smartphone. The V-Sensor app ensures the correct range of pressures is applied and gives an accurate reading in around 60 seconds, without needing any additional accessories or equipment. A thermopile is also built into the V-Sensor module for non-contact body temperature measurement and other built-in features allow all five vital signs to be measured by the patient in less than 60 seconds, without any extra accessories and all to medical accuracy.“Smartphones with LMD’s V-Sensor and App make valuable additional information which is medically accurate and available to doctors exactly when they need it.” says Tom Foley, a leading expert in remote healthcare. “A smartphone with integrated V-Sensor and App also enables patients to check their vital signs regularly with results automatically collected and archived, and these too can be shared during online telehealth consultations, perfect for accurately monitoring ongoing health conditions and for chronic care.”

ESC on eHealth Revolution: A New Vision For Cardiovascular Medicine

Posted by fidest press agency su venerdì, 24 febbraio 2017

Sophia AntipolisSophia Antipolis. How are smartphones and computer programs transforming healthcare, especially when it comes to preventing, diagnosing and treating heart disease? That’s the focus of a collection of articles published today in the European Heart Journal (EHJ).
Called eHealth, it includes smartphone applications that can predict a patient’s worsening heart failure simply from the sound of a person’s voice, or an app that warns someone walking down a street that blood pressure or glucose levels are dangerously low. There are mobile apps for doctors in the clinic that provide computerised decision support systems. There’s even Big Data that analyses millions of patient records to understand what cardiovascular treatments are having the greatest impact in specific situations, or how the results from one country compare to the results in others.
“Our profession and its use of electronic information is changing rapidly” said Professor Jeroen Bax, president of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). “Cutting-edge technologies are providing medical insights like never before.”The ESC has representatives working with the European Commission’s Expert groups on eHealth to ensure the interests of cardiovascular professionals and their patients are well represented. The ESC sees eHealth as vital to achieving its mission of reducing the burden of cardiovascular disease and allowing people to live longer, healthier lives.
Professor Martin Cowie, professor of cardiology at the National Health and Lung Institute at Imperial College London, and coordinator of the ESC eHealth Unit, said remote access and personal monitoring would enable heart patients to gather their own data.“eHealth is truly a revolution for health and healthcare. It’s one of the most exciting changes we have seen in decades. It can help empower a person living with a medical condition,” said Professor Cowie. “People don’t have to go to hospital to receive input. They can collect information at home or even when they are out and about pursuing their daily activities and those data can help doctors make better and more timely decisions with them.”
On Big Data, IBM created the cutting-edge technology platform Watson that can help a physician diagnose a medical complaint by combing through more than a million textbooks and scientific abstracts within seconds. “We are a catalyst to translate big data to empower doctors so they can take more time with their patients,” said Dr. Kyu Rhee, chief health officer at IBM.

A cinema con il docu film “Revolution”

Posted by fidest press agency su giovedì, 16 febbraio 2017

A statement regarding newroz and mothers day

Posted by fidest press agency su venerdì, 22 marzo 2013

Cairo, Egypt, – Today, our people celebrate two great and dear celebrations: The first is the festival of Nowruz, the Kurdish New Year, and the second Mother’s Day, which marks the first day of spring and the renewal of life. These celebrations are important, but hold a deeper significance since the start of the revolution, as the inspire hope and patience and push the people towards hope and giving. We congratulate Syria for its great, patient mothers, and we wish Syria’s Kurdish population a new year of freedom from injustice in memory of Nowruz.
The Syrian mother has become like the mythological hero “Kawa,” who was able to attain the rays of freedom in the skies of her land, and we celebrate this year remembering the great sacrifices our mother’s are paying to pave the way to freedom.During our great revolution, the Syrian mother has been a great example across many spectrums and under extreme circumstances. She has been the nurse and doctor, the writer and activist, the fighter and leader for political and military action, the detainee, the patient, the martyr, and the mother of martyrs.Syrian Kurds have proven they are indeed the descendants of the legendary Kawa, as they were, from the beginning days, in the front rows of the revolution for freedom and dignity, facing of the criminal Assad regime in Amooda, Afreen, Kobana, Kamishli, Rukn Al-Din in the subarbs of Damscus, and al Ashrafiyah in Aleppo. The National Syrian Coalition for Revolutionary Opposition and Forces, with great reverence, to salute Syrian mothers across our beloved country and in refugee camps and areas on this wondrous occasion. The Coalition also extends deepest and warmest wishes to Syrians on this Kurdish New Year, especially the Kurds on this anniversary of Nowruz, as victory is nearing, all due to the great patience and sacrifices offered by Syrians. We ask God for mercy of our martyrs, health for our wounded, and freedom for our martyrs. Long Live Syria and its people free and with honor.

Alexander Rodchenko: Revolution in Photography

Posted by fidest press agency su domenica, 20 dicembre 2009

Amsterdam until 17/3/2010 Keizersgracht 609, Foam_Fotografiemuseum Foam_ Fotografie museum Amsterdam and Moscow House of Photography present an unique retrospective of the world-famous Russian avant-garde artist Alexander Rodchenko. The exhibition will contain more then 200 vintage photographs some of which have never been exhibited in the West before. Alexander Rodchenko (1891-1956) is one of the great innovators of twentieth-century avant-garde art and one of its most versatile practitioners.  Having first gained international acclaim as a painter, sculptor and graphic designer, Rodchenko took up the practice of photography in the early 1920s, convinced that it would become the artistic medium of his era. Over the course of the following two decades he developed a bold new vocabulary of acute camera angles, extreme foreshortenings of perspective and close-ups of surprising details. In addition to introducing design as an integral element of photography, Rodchenko’s approach balanced formal concerns with an interest in documenting the social and political life of the Soviet Union. In the process, he helped to change the way people perceived not only photography, but also the role of the photographer.
Tracking the development of his photographic work over the course of two decades, Alexander Rodchenko: Revolution in Photography reveals the artist’s talent for experimentation as well as the extraordinary range of his work. From sharp-witted photomontage to documentary reportage in Moscow’s streets, from dynamic architectural studies to intimate portraits of his circle, Rodchenko’s photographic activity possessed a breath and scope matched by few artists of his day. Abandoning -pure’ art in favour of developing a visual language that could address a mass audience, Rodchenko applied himself as a photographer and designer to the production of posters, magazine and book design, advertisements for state-owned enterprises as well as photojournalism and other forms of documentary photography.  (Image: Lily Brik. Kudymkor is the Engine of the Future

Posted by fidest press agency su lunedì, 28 settembre 2009

Leonid TishkovMoscow until 18/10/2009 4-th Syromyatnicheskiy lane, 1, bld. 6  Winzavod Contemporary Art Center Ekaterina Degot, curator, and Leonid Tishkov, artist, tell the story of Pyotr Subbotin-Permyak  The exhibition, a conceptual curatorial project rather than a traditional museum retrospective, tells a story striking enough to be fiction. Pyotr Ivanovich Subbotin-Permyak (1886-1923) was born in the distant Perm region, and trained as a traditional artist in Moscow. In the heady days after the October revolution, he fell under the sway of the early avant-garde. In 1919, inspired by his friends Kandinsky, Kamensky, and Chlebnikov, he left Moscow to bring his lofty and rather naive ideas of the new art back to his birthplace, Kudymkor, a remote village near the town of Perm. It was here, among the impoverished Komi-Permyaks, that he founded a school of new art, studios, a museum, a theater, and an ethnographic collection. Almost the entire village was involved in these ventures. In 1923, Subbotin died of tuberculosis and exhaustion, and his pupils went their separate ways: one of them became a famous socialist realist painter, another stayed in the provinces to work as an art teacher, and another still, Subbotin’s favorite student, ‘the deaf-and-dumb Totmyanin’ moved to Leningrad, where he became the chairman of a deaf-mute community – and for that very reason, an early victim of the Great Terror in 1937.  The exhibition catalogue of ‘Kudymkor is the Engine of the Future’ includes texts by Ekaterina Degot, Leonid Tishkov, as well as an extensive biographical essay on Subbotin-Permyak’s activities in Perm and Kudymkor by N.V. Kazarinova, assistent director of the Perm State Art Gallery. It is accompanied by a special reprint edition of Pyotr Subbotin-Permyak’s main essay in theory ‘On New Systems in Art.’  ‘Kudymkor is the Engine of the Future’ is a special project of the Third Moscow Biennial of Contemporary Art.  Participating artists: Petr Subbotin-Permyak, Subbotin’s pupils & contemporaries (Dmitry Budrin, Alexander Vereschagin, Magdalena Verigo, Vasily Gomzikov, Vladimir Ikonnikov, Ekaterina Kamshilova, Vasily Kobelev, Ivan Krokhalev, Alexandra Speshilova, Yevstolia Subbotina, Lavr Tarakanov, Valentin Tzelmer), Leonid Tishkov  Exhibition organizers: New Collection Cultural Support Foundation (Perm), Perm State Art Gallery (Perm), Winzavod Contemporary Art Center (Moscow) (Image: Leonid Tishkov)
