Working Group Immunoterapia di Alleanza Contro il Cancro

Posted by fidest press agency su lunedì, 18 marzo 2019

Avnet and Octonion Working to Deliver AI and Security at the Edge

Posted by fidest press agency su giovedì, 15 novembre 2018

Success in today’s Internet of Things (IoT) marketplace requires unique combinations of hardware, software and security delivered in a timely manner to solve complex technical requirements. Now entrepreneurs and creators can expect to have a new solution that leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help speed the development process through a new product being developed by Avnet (Nasdaq: AVT), a leading global technology solutions provider, and Octonion, an Intelligent Edge IoT software provider. The two companies are creating a category of IoT solutions called “Meta-Sensing” that combines hardware and software that will allow engineers at any level to develop and deploy IoT solutions built with AI in as little as six to eight months. The first Meta-Sensing product, SmartEdge Agile, that will be built by Avnet and powered by the STM32 from ST Microelectronics, is an IoT device integrated with Octonion’s Brainium AI software to enable AI and security at the edge. Avnet and Octonion will preview the new solution via product demonstrations this week at electronica in Hall C5, Stand 101.“Today, the majority of industrial companies planning to launch an IoT project are in the prototype phase, with each project usually taking 18 to 24 months. To help reduce time to market and related costs, developers are turning to AI technologies, but require new approaches to be successful,” said Lou Lutostanski, global vice president of IoT for Avnet. “Together, Avnet and Octonion are creating an industry-leading Meta-Sensing IoT solution that will quickly and cost efficiently allow customers to take their IoT project from idea to design, and prototype to production. It’s a perfect example of Avnet’s unique product development ecosystem in action.” This comprehensive end-to-end solution is another example of how Avnet takes the complexity out of IoT for customers by providing devices that are smart, connected and trusted. Join Avnet EMEA with its business units Avnet Silica, EBV Elektronik and Avnet Abacus; and Farnell element14, at the electronica Trade Fair in Munich, Germany, November 13-16, in Hall C5, Stand 101, where the SmartEdge Agile and Brainium solution demos and use cases will be on display.

Reed.co.uk Advise Jobseekers to Harness Social Media

Posted by fidest press agency su giovedì, 16 febbraio 2012

London (PRNewswire) reed.co.uk, one of the UK’s leading job sites, is advising thousands of jobseekers up and down the country to utilise and harness social media in their job searches, as the medium is now considered a useful way to bolster employability prospects. It’s widely acknowledged social media is becoming a powerful employability tool for both jobseekers and prospective employers. According to Jobvite, a recruitment software website, 50% of job seekers, now working in sales jobs, in 2010, admitted to using social networking giant Facebook to help look for a new job. A further 26% admitted to using LinkedIn, another leading social networking website, to build up career contacts and gain employment. Looking at similar findings for a survey of people working in construction in 2011, the figures are far more conclusive of social media’s growing popularity. Amongst employees working in construction jobs, 16% of those (who were surveyed by Jobvite) admitted to gaining their employment through social networking websites. However despite the clear advantages social media platforms offer (wide networking opportunities, up-to-date job offerings, etc) reed.co.uk claims many jobseekers are in fact oblivious to the fact many prospective employers now use social media to screen applicants. A recent survey, carried out by social media monitoring service Reppler, found that more than 90% of recruiters and potential employers use or have used social networking websites as part of their employment screening process. Astonishingly 69% of recruiters admitted sleuthing a candidate’s social networking profile and later rejecting their application based on the content they found. However reed.co.uk’s new social media guidance tips aim to teach jobseekers how to manage their social media profiles properly; limiting the chance of prospective employers finding content they may well dislike. visit http://www.reed.co.uk
reed.co.uk is the UK’s leading online recruitment service, featuring over 110,000 jobs in Manchester, Birmingham and across the UK from more than 8,000 recruiters across 42 industry sectors.reed.co.uk is the UK’s most visited job site and was named by Experian Hitwise as the Number 1 website for Employment & Training sites throughout 2010 and between January and June 2011.

Working towards a strong Social Dimension of Europe 2020

Posted by fidest press agency su sabato, 19 novembre 2011

European Union's Economic and Social Committee...

Image via Wikipedia

Bruxelles from 21st – 23rd November 2011 That is why the Church and Society Commission of CEC and Eurodiaconia[2] are organising a seminar on “Strengthening the Social Dimension in European and National policies – Exploring the Europe 2020 Strategy“. At a time of financial and economic crisis and increasing austerity measures, the Europe 2020 commitment to Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth is in danger. The social dimension of the Europe 2020 strategy is being weakened by the continuing emphasis on growth and austerity as the only way out of the crisis. All stakeholders’ efforts and involvement are needed to overcome this ongoing crisis. Churches and diaconia, active all over Europe and working with the most vulnerable people, have an essential responsibility and a specific role to play in shaping the way out of the crisis, ensuring social safeguards mark out any exit strategy.
This seminar will aim to equip church and diaconal actors to engage in the Europe 2020 process at national and European level. It will be followed by a reception, with Ms. Jean Lambert MEP as key note speaker to address the issue of the contribution of the first European semester to the Europe 2020 strategy. This will be an occasion for church and diaconal actors striving to be actively involved in the Europe 2020 process to meet with representatives of the EU institutions, to discuss further the implementation of the Europe 2020 strategic goals at national level, especially through the employment and poverty targets.
Eurodiaconia is a dynamic, Europe wide community of organisations founded in the Christian faith and working in the tradition of Diaconia, who are committed to a Europe of solidarity, equality and justice.

Official presidential portrait of Barack Obama...

Image via Wikipedia

Letter to editor Riccardo A couple weeks ago, President Obama sat down for lunch with six of the campaign’s summer organizers to thank them for their work and share some of the lessons he learned when he was a first-time community organizer himself. He made the time because organizing is at the heart of this movement. It’s how we’re building our operation from the ground up over the next 14 months. As we pause this weekend to celebrate the working men and women in our country who fought for the right to organize, it’s worth taking a few minutes to listen to what the President had to say — and think about how we’ll organize this campaign in the months to come.

Io scrivo

Posted by fidest press agency su lunedì, 15 giugno 2009
