​Engaging Europe to end violence against women

Luxembourg. Intimate partner violence is the most prevalent form of violence against women in the EU. In a joint effort to address this, the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE), together with the Luxembourg Ministry of Equal Opportunities will launch the 2015 White Ribbon Campaign in Luxembourg on 25 November, the international day for the elimination of violence against women. The highest political level of Luxembourg, the Presidency of the EU Council, is standing up for the cause. Lydia Mutsch, Minister for Equal Opportunities said: “Fighting and eradicating violence against women can only succeed if all the relevant actors work closely together. At every level. Women and men. Together.”President of the Parliament, Mars di Bartolomeo, Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel and several ministers will make their official White Ribbon pledge at the launch – to never commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women.
EIGE delivers evidence and information on gender-based violence, including good practices on prevention, protection and training of service providers.“Our research and findings signal that women are killed because they are women, girls are exposed to the most traumatic mutilation because they are women, it must cease and men must engage in the process. We will develop a solid piece of evidence for the EU that can help create a dignified future for women and girls”, was the message conveyed by Virginija Langbakk, director of EIGE. Data gathered for EIGE’s Gender Equality Index finds that in EU countries on average, 1 in 5 women have experienced physical violence by a partner and the real numbers may well be even higher. Men must play a key role in ending violence against women and the White Ribbon campaign engages them to become agents of change. EIGE encourages men to speak out and take action among their friends, colleagues and families that violence against women will not be tolerated.

Born in South Korea but raised in Norway, Uldalen trained first as a primary school teacher and taught for two years before finding his true calling as an artist.Whilst teaching, Uldalen began to experiment with oils and his work was soon discovered by a local Oslo gallery. As Uldalen’s presence on social media grew, so did his international reputation, securing formal overseas gallery representation with Unit London through Instagram.Uldalen promoted his own work through a personal Instagram account, and set-up Paintguide, which he initially used as a platform to share works of art that personally inspired him. Following a highly successful takeover of the Paintguide account by Alex Kanevsky, Uldalen found himself inundated with requests for Paintguide takeovers from other like-minded, social media savvy artists. Paintguide, as it exists today, was born; each week a new artist is appointed as curator of the Paintguide feed, posting works that have inspired them, as well as their own pieces.As each guest artist boasts an individual following of between 30 to 250,000 followers, Paintguide’s own following has swelled dramatically, and currently stands at 183,000. Uldalen estimates that between 3 to 5,000 Instagram users chose to follow Paintguide every week, each enjoying the wealth and breadth of work on offer.Over the past three years Uldalen has been able to build strong personal relationships with artists featured on his account, so when he approached them with his exhibition proposal most jumped at the chance.Many of the artists featured in Paintguide have built successful careers on social media, including several who have found formal gallery representation through Instagram, offering an indication of the art world’s shift in focus towards social and digital platforms. Born in Hungary in 1974, Andi Kacziba has been living and working in Milan since 1997. Her artistic adventure, which started as a model and photographer, has led her to reflect on the problems connected to the woman and the conflicts of body and mind. Modern beauty often pushes girls to bulimia and anorexia: they destroy themselves because they do not accept themselves. In 2012 she creates the cramum award with Sabino Maria Frassà. Her works have been exhibited not only in Italy but also abroad. In 2015 Frangit Nucem (Palazzo Isimbardi, Milano), Mater (Palazzo del Governatore, Parma), Sale terarrum (Villa Litta) and Oltre (Italian Cultural Institute, Budapest) have hosted her creations.
Giorgio Pardi Foundation has been working since 2008 to improve the quality of life of the new generations. The Foundation in a non – profit organization in memory of Professor Giorgio Pardi. MIAMI — Brazil is once again the top foreign country searching online for South Florida real estate, according to new statistics from the MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI), America’s largest local Realtor group. The South American nation of 200 million residents finished as the top international country using MIAMI’s search portal, http://www.Miamire.com, in September 2015.Brazil has now ranked as the top foreign nation using http://www.Miamire.com in 15 of the last 16 months. The last time Brazil didn’t rank first was July 2015 when Colombia nabbed the top spot. The newly-released MIAMI statistics also showcase increased interest in South Florida real estate from countries such as Israel and Ecuador.“Miami is the most international city in the United States, a distinction that Brazilians and all international buyers love,” said Christopher Zoller, a 27-year Miami-based Realtor and the 2015 Residential President of MIAMI. “South Florida’s multiculturalism and increasingly diversified economy are attracting more home buyers from South America’s largest economy who want a safe, secure place to invest their hard-earned money.”
Brazilian home buyers purchase the third-most South Florida real estate among all foreign countries, according to the 2014 Survey of International Home Purchases conducted by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) for MIAMI. Brazil registered 11 percent of all foreign South Florida deals last year. Venezuelan and Argentinian buyers finished first and second, respectively, at 16 and 12 percent.Brazilians moving to South Florida are often upper-middle-class families who want to enjoy their prosperity earned in their homeland as professionals and entrepreneurs. Brazilians spend the most on average on Miami-Dade and Broward properties among foreigners: $495,000 average sale price compared to $245,000 among all buyers in Florida.
Consumers from Israel and Ecuador increased their online interest in South Florida real estate in September 2015. Israel posted its highest-ever finish, checking in with the fourth-most online searches among global consumers in September. Israel, which had never finished in the top-10, has now ranked fourth and ninth, respectively, in the last two months. Ecuador, meanwhile, registered its second-most web searches for South Florida real estate. Ecuador ranked ninth among global consumers in September, nearly eclipsing its highest-finish of eighth in October 2014.

Introducing FRA’s Local Engagement for Roma Inclusion project

The main phase of FRA’s Local Engagement for Roma Inclusion (LERI) project is now taking shape, after the pilot phase revealed a number of barriers to improving Roma integration. The project is taking place in 22 localities across 11 EU Member States: Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, Spain and the UK.
The results of the pilot phase showed that mutual mistrust, poor operational coordination mechanisms, lack of a shared understanding of needs, and absence of funding or complicated funding regulations often hinder the implementation of inclusion measures at the local level.
In Hrabušice (Slovakia), where Roma make up about 40% of the population of 2,378 inhabitants, the main challenges included disempowerment and indifference on the part of Roma. This in turn resulted from a chronic lack of employment and dependence on public works programmes. LERI will therefore focus on energising the local community, engaging its members in improvements to public space and exposing young people to new opportunities through youth exchanges and internships in NGOs.
In Mantua (Italy), where some 300 Italian Sinti live, local stakeholders said the most pressing concerns were housing segregation and problems in formalising the traditional occupation of local Sinti, the scrap metal trade. After identifying these needs, representatives of all communities involved discussed potential solutions. These included making changes to the official assessment criteria of people eligible for public housing, as well as mutually acceptable options to regulate the scrap trade in line with existing regulations.LERI aims to identify and understand the factors both facilitating and hindering the efforts of all those involved – municipal authorities, NGOs, and Roma as well as non-Roma communities – to design, implement and monitor Roma integration activities, especially those implemented with EU funds. The project uses qualitative participatory action research, thus increasing the involvement of local communities in processes and projects, and helping to bring different groups together to address shared priorities.

After the shocking and coward terrorist attacks in Paris, they underline that “we should be united to fight efficiently against the threat of terrorism, in Europe as well as abroad” and that “our desire for security can be more effectively met within the framework of the Schengen area”, particularly via an improvement of “our ability to ensure the effective monitoring of what are now our common external borders”They conclude their declaration by calling “to safeguard and to strengthen Schengen shirking the dangerous temptation to fall back on national borders – a move which would damage the people of Europe without in any way bolstering their security”

October Marks More than Four Years of Price Appreciation in Miami

MIAMI — The Miami-Dade County real estate market continued to strengthen in October as properties sold fast and near asking price and sales prices again increased, according to a new report by the 41,000-member MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI) and Multiple Listing Service (MLS) system.October marked more than four years of consistent monthly median sales price increases for both single-family homes and condominiums in Miami-Dade. Last month, the median sales price for single-family homes rose 10.4 percent year-over-year, from $240,000 to $265,000.Single-family home and condominium prices remain at 2004 levels despite four years of consistent year-over-year increases.
The median sales price for existing condominiums increased 8.1 percent in October to $200,000 from $185,000 a year ago. Miami-Dade County condo prices have risen in 52 of the last 53 months, a period stretching nearly four and a half years.“Miami real estate continues to attract international buyers from all over the world as well as a growing number of domestic consumers,” said Christopher Zoller, a 27-year Miami-based Realtor and the 2015 Residential President of MIAMI. “South Florida offers world-class amenities, a top-tier arts and cultural epicenter, a diversified economy and more. The strong demand is leading to fewer days on the market for Miami single-family homes while buyer offers are near asking price.”
The average percent of original list price received for single-family homes was 95.6 percent in October 2015, an increase of 0.3 percent from a year earlier. The median number of days on the market for Miami single-family homes decreased 7 percent to 40 days in October 2015 from 43 days in October 2014.The median number of days on the market for condominiums sold in October 2015 was 59 days, a 1.7 percent increase from 58 days in October 2014. The average percent of original list price received was 93.8 percent, a 0.1 percent year-over-year increase.
Total existing Miami-Dade County residential sales, including single-family and condominiums, were consistent with historical averages despite experiencing a slight decline of 5.6 percent, from 2,712 sales in October 2014 to 2,559 last month.Miami-Dade County single-family home transactions decreased 4.4 percent year-over-year in October, from 1,204 to 1,151. Existing condominiums — which are competing with a significant rise in supply of new construction properties east of Interstate-95 — had 6.6 percent fewer sales in October, decreasing from 1,508 to 1,408.Mortgage rates remain at historic lows. According to Freddie Mac, the interest rate for a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage declined to 3.80 in October from 3.89 percent in September – and from an average commitment rate of 4.04 percent a year ago.
In addition to increased sales of new construction properties, Miami existing condominiums have been impacted by a lack of access to mortgage loans. Of the 8,523 condominium buildings in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, only 23 are approved for Federal Housing Administration loans, down from 29 earlier this year, according to statistics released earlier this year from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation and FHA.A new FHA policy, however, should qualify more South Florida condo buildings. On Nov. 12, the FHA announced plans to streamline the condominium recertification process, expand its definition of acceptable owner-occupied units to include second homes not owned by investors and change the way it views co-insurance clauses. The government affairs team of the MIAMI Association of REALTORS® advocated for the changes, which go into effect immediately. Nationally, sales of existing single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, and co-ops decreased 3.4 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.36 million in October from 5.55 million in September, according to the National Association of Realtors (NAR). National sales are now 3.9 percent above a year ago (5.16 million).Statewide, closed sales of existing single-family homes rose last month with a total of 22,147, an increase of 1.2 percent over October 2014, according to Florida Realtors. Florida’s condominium sales totaled 9,294, down 0.9 percent compared to October 2014.The national median existing-home price for all housing types in October 2015 was $219,600, which is 5.8 percent above October 2014 ($207,500), according to NAR. October’s price increase marks the 44th consecutive month of year–over–year gains.The statewide median sales price for single-family existing homes last month was $198,995, up 12.4 percent from the previous year, according to Florida Realtors. The statewide median price for townhouse-condo properties was $150,000, up 7.2 percent compared to last year.
In October, cash deals represented 51.5 percent of Miami’s total closed sales, which is more than double the national average. Just 24 percent of all U.S. housing sales were made in cash in October, according to NAR. Cash transactions represented 55.8 percent of total Miami deals in October 2014. Miami’s high percentage of cash sales reflects South Florida’s ability to attract a diverse number of international home buyers, who tend to purchase properties in all cash.Condominiums comprise a large portion of Miami’s cash purchases as 64.1 percent of condo closings were made in cash in October compared to 36.1 percent of single-family home sales.Only 23.7 percent of all closed residential sales in Miami were distressed last month, including REO (bank-owned properties) and short sales, compared to 34.9 percent in October 2014.
Short sales and REOs accounted for 5.1 percent and 18.6 percent, respectively, of total Miami sales in October. Short sale transactions dropped 40.1 percent year-over-year while REOs decreased 34.7 percent.
Miami-Dade County’s single-family sector is in a seller’s market, while condo sales reflect a balanced market between buyers and sellers. Inventory of single-family homes decreased 4.2 percent from 6,439 active listings last year to 6,169 last month. Condominium inventory increased 7.3 percent to 12,197 from 11,362 listings during the same period in 2014.At the current sales pace, there is a 5.2-month supply of Miami single-family homes, a decrease of 9.3 percent from 5.8 months in October 2014. There is a 9.1-month supply of condominium inventory, up from 8.2 months in October 2014, an increase of 10.6 percent. A balanced market between buyers and sellers offers between six and nine months supply of inventory.Active listings at the end of October increased 3.2 percent year-over-year, from 17,801 to 18,366. Active listings remain about 60 percent below 2008 levels when sales bottomed.New listings of Miami single-family homes decreased 7.6 percent from 2,316 in October of last year to 2,140 last month. New listings of condominiums increased 1.1 percent to 3,036 last month, compared to 3,003 during the same time period in 2014.Nationally, total housing inventory at the end of October decreased 2.3 percent to 2.14 million existing homes available for sale, and is now 4.5 percent lower than a year ago (2.24 million). Unsold inventory is at a 4.8–month supply at the current sales pace.
Strong sales in the preconstruction condominium Miami market east of Interstate 95 continue to reflect significant demand for new properties, according to the latest New Construction Market Status Report released by the preconstruction condo projects website Cranespotters.com and MIAMI.Thirty-one towers with 615 floors and 3,149 units have been completed in Miami-Dade County east of I-95 in the four years since 2011, according to the Nov. 12 report. There are 77 towers with 1,614 floors and 10,097 units under construction in Miami east of I-95.
According to the most recent developers’ price survey conducted by Cranespotters.com in May 2015:
▪103 projects with 119 towers comprising 17,199 units are selling.
▪71 percent of units have been sold.
▪The minimum price per square foot of these units is $949, compared to $952 in April 2015.

Eppure dopo anni, l’eccessiva pressione nelle arterie può provocare ictus, infarto, malattie renali e cardiocircolatorie. A questa si aggiungono altri fattori di rischio cardiovascolari, come obesità, colesterolo, iperglicemia, sedentarietà. Tutti fattori che possono essere ridotti con un corretto stile di vita e, quando necessario, con le terapie appropriate. I risultati migliori possono essere conseguiti con una corretta individuazione del pazienti a maggior rischio, una tempestiva diagnosi e un precoce trattamento: una gestione non facile, che vuole essere almeno in parte chiarita dal simposio “The complexity of the management of hypertension and its comorbidities”, in programma a Barcellona dal 26 al 28 novembre 2015. Gli esperti internazionali che parteciperanno all’evento, organizzato dalla Clinica Ospedaliera dell’Università di Barcellona e promosso dalla Fondazione Internazionale Menarini, si focalizzeranno sulle più recenti acquisizioni riguardanti i meccanismo che causano il passaggi dall’ipertensione allo scompenso cardiaco e all’infarto, come viene colpito il cervello, le interazioni tra rischio cardiovascolare e danno renale, i trattamenti più efficaci per prevenire i danni provocati dall’ipertensione.

L’obiettivo è quello di far conoscere ed approfondire il pensiero della recente Enciclica Laudato si’ di Papa Francesco e il suo appello a una conversione ecologica integrale per una cura premurosa dell´ambiente naturale e sociale in cui noi viviamo.“Sono veramente felice di questa iniziativa – ha spiegato Padre Jesus Villagrasa LC, Rettore dell’Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum – per due motivi: primo, perché il convegno nella prima parte della giornata tocca la principale preoccupazione che mi sembra fosse a cuore al Papa quando ha scritto l’Enciclica. Lui stesso, nella recente intervista a ‘Paris Match’, ha dichiarato di aver iniziato l’Enciclica Laudato si’ con le parole del Cantico delle creature, perché ha cercato di mostrare quali legami profondi esistano tra l’impegno per sradicare la povertà e la cura del creato. Secondo, perché nella sessione pomeridiana ci saranno docenti dell’Ateneo ad approfondire la ricchezza dottrinale dell’Enciclica”.Il Rettore dell’Università Europea di Roma, Padre Luca Gallizia LC, ha dichiarato: “Il tema del convegno è di particolare importanza per il momento culturale che stiamo vivendo e anche per la missione di una università. Papa Francesco ha approfondito, nella lettera Enciclica Laudato si’, il paradigma tecnocratico che domina la nostra cultura post-moderna. Pur riconoscendo il valore della ricerca scientifica e i benefici che le scoperte tecniche, specialmente negli ultimi due secoli, hanno apportato alla soluzione di numerosi e nodali problemi dell’umanità, il Santo Padre sottolinea il rischio che questo enorme potere si rivolti contro l’uomo, se non è accompagnato da uno sviluppo dell’essere umano per quanto riguarda la responsabilità, i valori e la coscienza”.Ciò che accade nella nostra “casa comune” é quanto mai allarmante. Ci troviamo di fronte a una crisi ambientale senza precedenti. Il grido delle persone che soffrono la fame nel mondo é oggi, più che mai, un imperativo etico e politico. E’ importante che la nuova generazione trovi la sua vocazione in una vera e propria cittadinanza ecologica. Allo stesso tempo va auspicata una cooperazione internazionale più efficace per venire incontro alle persone più povere e in grave difficoltà.La Laudato si’é un documento che si integra nel fecondo fiume del patrimonio della dottrina sociale della Chiesa. Ciò nonostante sono molte le sfide scientifiche, tecnologiche, filosofiche, teologiche e sociali che conviene ancora affrontare, nell’ottica di un umanesimo integrale e solidale, affinché i cattolici, ma non solo, possano portare avanti una pastorale sociale più incisiva, aperta a tutti e con la partecipazione di tutti. Un lavoro di ponte e fermento nella società che dobbiamo assumere per offrire un contributo responsabile ed efficace. Impegno che nasce da una mente e un cuore solidale, incentrato nella via eccellente dell’amore e della carità verso l’altro, particolarmente nei confronti dei più vulnerabili della nostra società.La Missione permanente della Santa Sede presso la FAO, IFAD e PAM é impegnata nel dialogo creativo e propositivo nella comunità internazionale. Una prova è, appunto, il suo apporto nell’organizzazione di questo convegno universitario che intende offrire informazione e ispirazione alle persone di buona volontà che lavorano per il bene comune. A questo riguardo è importante non dimenticare che la cura della casa comune é un compito di tutti. L’ambiente é patrimonio dell’intera umanità. Per lottare contro la fame, il primo che deve essere sconfitto é l’egoismo, l’individualismo atroce che ci chiude in noi stessi, che genera ermetismo e ci allontana dagli altri, che frantuma la fraternità e la trasforma in rivalità.Sulla tematica dell’incontro, il Prof. Alberto García, direttore della Cattedra UNESCO di Bioetica e Diritti Umani, ha affermato: “Il nostro mondo globalizzato ha bisogno di uomini e donne con competenza e virtù atti ad assumere l´impegno della cura del nostro focolare comune; persone creative capaci di trovare le convergenze nelle idee, dei talenti e delle risorse che puntano al bene comune. Con dedizione, ottimismo e mutuo rispetto per l’altro. Ora è il tempo della trascendenza: uscire da noi stessi, cercare l’Altro e gli Altri. Oggi è il tempo di assumere un impegno solidale in favore degli altri, non di nostalgie e sterili lamentele”.

Farmaco di Novartis per lo scompenso cardiaco

Basilea. Novartis ha annunciato oggi che la Commissione Europea (CE) ha approvato LCZ696 (sacubitril/valsartan) per il trattamento di pazienti adulti con scompenso cardiaco cronico sintomatico e frazione di eiezione ridotta (HFrEF).
L’approvazione si basa sui risultati dello studio PARADIGM-HF, condotto su 8.442 pazienti con HFrEF, che è stato interrotto precocemente, non appena è stato dimostrato che LCZ696 riduceva in modo significativo il rischio di morte cardiovascolare rispetto all’ACE-inibitore enalapril1. Al termine dello studio, i pazienti che avevano ricevuto LCZ696 presentavano maggiore probabilità di sopravvivenza e minore incidenza di ricoveri ospedalieri per scompenso cardiaco rispetto ai pazienti che avevano ricevuto enalapril. L’analisi dei dati di sicurezza ha dimostrato che LCZ696 ha un profilo di tollerabilità simile a quello di enalapril.
«Sappiamo che le persone che convivono con lo scompenso cardiaco sono esposte ad un elevato rischio di morte e che la loro qualità di vita è inferiore a quella dei pazienti affetti da quasi tutte le altre patologie croniche; pertanto, è molto significativo per i pazienti europei con HFrEF il fatto che siamo in grado di offrire una nuova opzione terapeutica, prima della sua classe» ha dichiarato David Epstein, Division Head, Novartis Pharmaceuticals.
Lo scompenso cardiaco è una patologia debilitante e potenzialmente fatale, in cui il cuore non riesce a pompare una quantità sufficiente di sangue, perché la sua muscolatura diventa troppo debole o troppo rigida per funzionare in modo adeguato4.
I pazienti sono pertanto esposti ad un elevato rischio di mortalità, ripetuti ricoveri in ospedale e sintomi come dispnea, affaticamento e ritenzione di liquidi, che esercitano un impatto significativo sulla qualità della loro vita.
Ogni giorno in Europa vengono diagnosticati 10.000 casi di scompenso cardiaco e 15 milioni di persone già convivono con questa patologia. Nonostante la prevalenza, la maggior parte delle persone non riesce a riconoscere i sintomi: questo significa che molti pazienti rimangono senza una diagnosi essendo spesso i sintomi erroneamente attribuiti all’avanzare dell’età.

Open Hub Med

E’ stato costituito l’hub neutrale per lo scambio del traffico internet tra il bacino del Mediterraneo e l’Europa.

Tale formazione testimonia la sensibilità dei carrier italiani nei confronti dell’apertura e lo sviluppo del mercato delle Telecomunicazioni nel nostro Paese.Open Hub Med offre a tutti gli operatori di telecomunicazioni internazionali e agli OTT un modello multistakeholder per lo scambio del traffico internet nel cuore del Mediterraneo con un approccio che, basato su princìpi di vera apertura e neutralità, si differenzia in maniera sostanziale rispetto ad altre iniziative in corso nell’area.Tramite raccordi tra il proprio data center di Palermo Carini e le altre stazioni di approdo dei cavi sottomarini in Sicilia e a Bari, nonché collegamenti terrestri in fibra con Milano, OHM realizzerà una vera e propria piattaforma unica d’accesso internazionale, in grado di offrire le medesime condizioni di neutralità, affidabilità e sicurezza di Marsiglia, ad oggi unico snodo indipendente del traffico dati sottomarino nel Mediterraneo. Grazie a questa iniziativa, gli operatori d’oltremare potranno diversificare notevolmente le tratte su cui far viaggiare il proprio traffico riducendo quelle sottomarine a vantaggio di più sicuri percorsi terrestri e di beneficiare di tempi di latenza più bassi rispetto allo snodo francese. La molteplicità degli operatori coinvolti nella gestione e la presenza del MIX (Milan Internet Exchange) rappresentano un’ulteriore garanzia in termini di competitività dell’offerta e di sicurezza nella gestione dei dati in transito.Il data center di OHM, che verrà ospitato nell’area di ricerca di Italtel a Carini, rappresenta inoltre la prima sede tecnologica neutrale ed indipendente nel Sud Italia per l’alloggiamento di apparati tecnologici di operatori, OTT, imprese e pubblica amministrazione.
In questo scenario, Open Hub Med si candida a essere un vero e proprio nodo infotelematico del Mediterraneo, all’avanguardia dal punto di vista delle condizioni di accesso e dell’autonomia di gestione da parte di tutti gli operatori e capace di garantire le migliori condizioni in termini di prezzo, sicurezza, qualità e affidabilità della rete.

Il bilancio di Paolo Ruberti al termine del FIA WEC 2015

La 6 Ore del Bahrein, ultimo appuntamento del FIA WEC 2015, ha chiuso quarta stagione di Paolo Ruberti nel campionato mondiale endurance, la prima al volante della Chevrolet Corvette C7.A Sakhir Ruberti con i compagni di equipaggio Gianluca Roda (ITA) e Kristian Poulsen (DK) è stato tra i protagonisti fin dalle prove libere con ottimi rilievi cronometrici, confermati poi anche in qualifica dove è arrivato il secondo tempo in LMGTE Am, alle spalle di Lamy-Dalla Lana-Lauda (Aston Martin), poi vincitori.La gara è iniziata nel migliore dei modi, con l’italiano di Larbre Competition ad artigliare la prima posizione nello stint iniziale grazie ad un passo gara convincente, che gli ha permesso anche di battagliare con alcuni equipaggi PRO. Nelle ore successive purtroppo alcuni problemi hanno impedito di sfruttare l’elevato potenziale della vettura, obbligando l’equipaggio al sesto posto finale. Il FIA WEC 2015 va così in archivio con Ruberti al decimo posto nel FIA Endurance Trophy for GT AM drivers con 52 punti, e con il quarto posto al Fuji come miglior risultato. La moglie di coccio e altre novelle quasi vere

Dopo due libri di marketing del turismo del vino e tanti ricettari Donatella Cinelli Colombini si cimenta nelle novelle. Non è impazzita ma ha dato libero sfogo alla fantasia e il risultato è strepitoso.
5 novelle per adulti e per bambini. Un taglio che rimanda alle fiabe di Calvino e Rodari per il modo giocoso di proporre metafore della realtà, messaggi sotto traccia che mettono in luce i paradossi contemporanei come la convinzione di dominare la natura oppure la mercificazione delle cose più belle e più sacre. I suoi personaggi sono da novella epica: uno chef lupo che è l’opposto dei cuochi televisivi, il folletto Dorian che sta negli specchi della Fattoria del Colle e imbruttisce i turisti meno innamorati della Toscana oppure lo spagnolo Don Garcia bello e innamorato che ci mostra come i miracoli avvengono dove meno te li aspetti.
Racconti molto diversi dunque, scritti dal 1999 al 2005 e poi rimasti nel cassetto finché la voglia di farli conoscere è diventata forte. Per illustrarli Donatella ha chiamato il pittore senese Alessandro Grazi che condivide con lei una lunga amicizia e la predilezione per un universo fantastico dove la realtà cambia forma e si colora di arcobaleno ma ha sempre contenuti etici.
Il libro si intitola “La moglie di coccio” come la prima fiaba scritta dalla Cinelli Colombini. Racconta di una statua di terracotta che magicamente diventa viva grazie a una candela (la luce dell’intelletto) infilata nella testa e fa impazzire il marito pinocchio con i suoi capricci. Ogni mattina Pinocchio fa rimodellare la statua dai maestri ceramisti di Petroio ma la moglie viene sempre diversa da come vuole lui. La natura, infatti è più forte dell’uomo e rifugge da ogni costrizione.

Mercato indiano delle costruzioni

Il mercato indiano delle macchine per costruzioni, dopo un rallentamento legato all’andamento dell’economia nazionale, registra una crescita del 13% nel 2015, e dovrebbe migliorare anche nel prossimo biennio, raggiungendo il +15% nel 2017 (stime di Off-Highway Research). Tali aspettative di crescita, dipendono in larga parte dal grande numero di lavori pubblici che il governo ha già avviato e da quelli che saranno sbloccati a breve, come previsto dal piano quinquennale 2012-2017 che ha stanziato 1 miliardo di dollari per lo sviluppo urbano e infrastrutturale del paese. L’economia indiana, nel complesso, continua a crescere di oltre il 7% l’anno e si stima che nel prossimo quinquennio accelererà il passo.A Bangalore, nel sud dell’India, si inaugura domani Excon, la fiera di macchine e tecnologie per le costruzioni in programma fino al 29 novembre. La manifestazione, giunta all’ottava edizione, si è imposta come punto di riferimento per il settore delle macchine e delle attrezzature per tutto il sud del continente indiano. Aumento del seno, le 4 cose che possono andare storte dopo l’intervento di chirurgia plastica

Può essere colpa di uno di quei fattori imprevedibili che in medicina non si possono mai escludere del tutto, di un chirurgo poco esperto, di qualche richiesta avventatamente accontentata o di qualche indicazione post operatoria non rispettata dalla paziente. «La mastoplastica additiva, ossia l’aumento del seno, è uno degli interventi più eseguiti in Italia e nel mondo: le complicazioni sono molto rare e sempre risolvibili, ma è bene che le pazienti siano informate di quello che potrebbe andare storto». Parola di Chiara Botti, chirurgo plastico di Clinica Villa Bella a Salò (Brescia), che recentemente è stata invitata al Congresso della Società tedesca di chirurgia plastica che si è svolto a Berlino, a cui hanno partecipato oltre mille specialisti, e a quello organizzato a Teheran dalla Società di chirurgia estetica, proprio per rioperare pazienti che avevano avuto dei problemi con le protesi al seno e per parlare delle problematiche più frequenti.«Le complicazioni di un intervento sono difficili da gestire sia per il medico, sia per il paziente – spiega Botti -. La seconda operazione è sempre più complessa della prima, in quanto si tratta di intervenire per risolvere una soluzione problematica, non sempre è facile riuscirci». Il consiglio è scegliere con cura il medico a cui ci si rivolge già dalla prima volta, senza lasciarsi lusingare da prezzi bassi o offerte low cost, ma basandosi sull’esperienza dello specialista: «Se ci si rivolge a un medico poco esperto non solo aumenta la possibilità di incorrere in una complicazione, ma si rischia anche che non sia in grado di risolverla. E non tutti i medici accettano di rioperare una paziente altrui» afferma.
In Italia le operazioni di chirurgia estetica secondarie, ossia eseguite dopo che il primo intervento non è andato a buon fine, sono state il 13,6% del totale (dati Aicpe): solo nel 36,5% dei casi il paziente ritorna dallo stesso dottore, la maggioranza preferisce rivolgersi a un altro.
Nel caso di mastoplastica additiva le cause delle complicazioni sono diverse: «Spesso i problemi derivano dal fatto che si impianta una protesi troppo grande per il torace, di solito accontentando il desiderio della paziente: soprattutto nei soggetti molto magri può succedere che la protesi debordi e che, essendoci poco grasso di copertura, sia visibile il contorno. Meglio preferire una protesi piccola per far sì che il risultato non sia troppo “plastificato”. Un altro fattore che può incidere è il livello in cui si mette la protesi: il punto migliore è dietro il muscolo pettorale, dove la copertura è maggiore, anche se spesso il chirurgo preferisce l’innesto davanti al muscolo in quanto, oltre a essere tecnicamente più difficile, può causare un po’ più di dolore nei primi giorni successivi. Tuttavia, considerando che può servire a evitare complicazioni e ad ottenere un risultato migliore, ne vale la pena» aggiunge la dottoressa.
Le complicazioni più frequenti con la mastoplastica additiva sono contrattura capsulare, spostamento della protesi, rotazione e rottura. «Un elenco che, pur non essendo del tutto esaustivo, riassume le problematiche più frequenti» dice Botti. La prima è la contrattura capsulare, ossia l’indurimento del seno. «È quella più diffusa, con un’incidenza tra l’1 e il 2%. Può capitare durante tutto l’arco di vita della protesi e le cause sono diverse: dalle infezioni subcliniche (dovute a batteri presenti nella mammella e nei dotti o a bronchiti o tonsilliti non curate con antibiotici), alla contaminazione delle capsule con materiale estraneo. Si manifesta appunto con l’indurimento del seno e si risolve rimuovendo la protesi e reinserendone una nuova» dice il chirurgo plastico di Villa Bella.
Altra complicazione possibile è lo spostamento della protesi. «La dislocazione della protesi può capitare nei primi due mesi dopo l’impianto. Si verifica se la paziente esegue un movimento troppo energico con le braccia oppure se fa molto esercizio nelle settimane immediatamente successive all’intervento. Trascorsi due mesi il tessuto intorno alla protesi si cicatrizza e la paziente può riprendere con regolarità la propria attività. Anche in questo caso la soluzione è tornare in sala operatoria per riposizionare la protesi nella giusta posizione» spiega la dottoressa Botti.La terza cosa che può andare storta è la rotazione. «Capita con le per protesi anatomiche che sono a forma di goccia e se si girano cambiano anche la forma del seno. Può succedere quando si realizza una “tasca” troppo larga per inserire la protesi; quando si passa da una protesi più grande a una più piccola senza ridimensionare la tasca e nel caso in cui la paziente esegue dei movimenti eccessivi con le braccia. La soluzione è rimettere la protesi nella posizione originaria: a volte si può risolvere con un’apposita manovra per girare la protesi, altrimenti si deve rioperare. Succede più frequentemente nei primi due mesi dopo l’intervento ma può capitare anche successivamente».
Infine, può succedere che la protesi si rompa. «La rottura della protesi di solito è successiva a un trauma, ad esempio un incidente d’auto. L’incidenza è bassissima, tanto che le aziende forniscono gratuitamente una coppia di protesi per la sostituzione e, in alcuni casi, rimborsano anche il costo dell’intervento per il reimpianto» afferma Botti.
